I'm a sound on guy. I love to hear the girl's voice. Especially if she squeals, shrieks, complains or begs. But even if it's a scene where the girl is enjoying being slimed, I like hearing her voice. It creates intimacy. I will say that sound effects (fart sounds, overuse of canned laughter, the gunge tank siren, etc.) annoys the hell out of me, but the natural sound of slime hitting the floor is fine.
No hate or judgment here, but why sound off? What's the point of the video with no sound? I'm genuinely curious because unless it had like an annoying instrumental track over it, or like obnoxious sounds added in for the pie hits or slime pour, I couldn't watch a video UNLESS the sound was on lol I mean thats just me though, but I'm genuinely curious as to why you prefer no sound, I mean if you don't want to say or explain, that's cool, you don't have to (obviously lol) I'm just curious as I've never even considered this a possibility,or thought that anyone would think it was lol, again no hate or judgment, just never expected to see someone would rather zero sound

I'm trying to figure that out myself, but, I think it has to do with helping my mental concentration.
I actually echo your sentiment. I tend to watch with the sound off, but if the video had no sound, I wouldn't be as interested in it. I like the check the sound periodically but for the most part I just watch it silently.
Actually, now that I think about it, I watch most things without the sound on, usually with captions/subtitles.

Is this a uniformity you do with any kind of media that has sound too? TV shows, movies, video games, ect....
Btw if you're not comfortable answering any of this please don't, I'm not trying to make you feel uncomfortable or anything I'm just legitimately trying to better understand your view point
Do you have concentration problems as well? Or like the old saying can't walk abd.chew gum at the same time, and I'm not meaning that as any kind of.dig at you what so ever, but.do 2 things going on at once (possibly specifically sensory things) cause your concentration to get worse/harder to maintain?

No. Just for wam/adult videos. And, uh, yeah... the concentration is needed for audience participation.
For non-wam/non-adult regular tv shows and movies (I never play videogames, never have) I definitely need the sound. However, written subtitles are now an absolute necessity for me. And, no, I have no hearing problems. I just have come much more visually-sensitive to understanding than aurally. Especially when it's a movie filled with British actors speaking British: my GOD I cannot understand a word they say without written subtitles.

Gotcha, appreciate your response too and explaining it like that, I was just trying to better understand the choice of no sound, like I said I didn't think that would ever be a preferred choice for someone lol but I get it now, appreciate it man!
90% of the time I'll have the sound off. Partly as my walls are paper thin and I don't like wearing headphones all the time but also if it's a video with not much going on sound-wise (just has music or poor sound quality) then it's no real loss.
I would often have music playing separately though.
I do like to have sound on if it's a good quality scene.
Usually sound on, but at a quieter level. Unless there's god awful music or something overlaid on the video, then usually I mute that video. I absolutely do not like when there's unnecessary music played overtop of what would normally be an otherwise good video.
I would love to say sound on but there are so many things that cause me to mute it:
- Constant narration, commentary or direction by producer. - Repetitive sound in the background (camera shutter). - Radio/TV on in the background. - Complete silence from model. - Overacting / bad acting from model.
I used to always watch WAM videos with the sound off, so there was no chance of anyone else coming into the room without me hearing them. Even with a fully accepting partner, the idea of being interrupted mid-wank by someone I'd not heard come up the tower stairs is scary. Nowadays I may have the sound on quietly, so I can just hear any splattering etc, but the visuals are still the most important thing.
Some thoughts on what shmerb said:

Agree completely, any time we've had to do this I note it in the description so people can make an informed purchase decision.

Sorry! Our scenes used to have this because for a very long time I still thought stills were the most important aspect. Realised a few years back that in reality video is king, and really scaled back the still shots.

Amongst other things that's copyright infringement - one of the reasons all our early videos were silent was because we let the girls pick music to play while we were shooting, so soundtrack fully and deliberately removed before release. Didn't want to get sued by the RIAA, plus it made the files slightly smaller in the days when every byte counted.

I've found that mainly shooting two-person scenes, so they can interact with each other, plus really scalling the direction back and just letting them get on with it naturally, is the best fix for this. Though we also now have models happy and confident to talk directly to camera and discuss exactly what they're doing and feeling while doing solo scenes. Not everyone has that self-confidence though.

Occasionally this can be fun - hugely overacted submission from a slave for example, but mostlty, yup.
Sound on for sure. The audio of a thick cream pie impacting a girl's face, the *womp* of the air and filling being pushed out of the tin around her head. The muffled cries of the pied victim. The clang of the pie tin hitting the floor. All of that really adds a lot to the scenes for me, some of my favorite hits have an element of something special with the audio present.
Personally I blast the volume to the point my neighbors 3 houses down can clearly make out the dialog, bought state of the art giant speakers specifically for this purpose, windows and main door wide open as well, and just because I also turn on my 120 inch halogen strobe light globe
It depends, normally I like to hear the splats etc. However, if canned laughter has been added I will be sound off, there is also one model whose content I like but she is very vocal and I find her accent really grating so their's are always sound off.
I will watch them with the sound off but then sometimes I ask myself, "What did she say there while she was making that face?" and I will play the sound for those few seconds. And like kake kid said, there might be a whomp and pie tin crash that I want to hear.
Also, I HATE any chuckling or sense of "gee this is fun!" in a humiliation video. So muting it helps eliminate that.
And I can't understand what British people are saying anyway. lol
I'm not keen when people overdo it vocally, but the various pouring, dripping, squelching (etc) sounds add a whole lot to how much I enjoy video. Especially with mud that bubbles as the person settles into it, for some reason that's a big one for me!
..how many of you actually watch a wam video all the way thru, as opposed to those of you who just skip to your favorite part of the video only. We don't have watchtime stats here, but on Youtube they have great analytics that show the majority of people do not watch an entire video and will skip or abort when a video does not hold their interest. If those watchtime stats are true we are better off making 5 miinute videos that really hold your attention, because after 5 minutes most folks will skip or abort anyway.

Watch to the point of release, basically. Though that can be different parts of a video at different times, most of the time I'm all about the first applicatons of mess to clean people, but sometimes it's nice to watch women spreading more stuff over each other while already well covered in goo.
Most pointless job ever? The person who has to make the end credits for a porn movie.
