Hi Wammers,

I have a question for everyone. I am new to the Pie Producing business. I have been spending a lot of my time writting scripts for the buildup of the first pie in the face for the models that I have been producting scenes for. My question is, how important is the script to you?? Does it make or break the scene, or is it more important how messy the model gets? I have several models that don't care a bit about the script, they just want to get messy. If I just get them messy, am I disappointing the WAM community, or does it really matter? I am looking for your opinions. I am trying to make messy scenes that I like, and that the general WAM audience will also enjoy. Comments are welcome. Appreciate your opinion.

Yikes! Well don't let that happen.

I wouldn't expect Wam models to perform any rendition of Tennessee Williams. But a little bit of a script is nice, just so they're not sitting there having pies thrown at them.

I'm really bored of girls sitting on a chair and being hit over and over again without purpose... really boring to me...

In fact, I buy very few videos lately because I prefer to produce my own customs and get what really amuses me. Humiliation scripts with two girls stripped to their undies. (among other details).

Perhaps, but a really corny script is often a turnoff for me personally. And let's face it, most of these scripts are pretty corny.

Which is why fake WAM gameshows are my favorite: there's still a structure (not just an unexplained barrage of pies) yet it's also not completely fake - the models really are trying not to get pied...and hopefully failing.

I like them personally. Especially the corny ones! Lots of "let me have that pie" and "are you sure you really want this pie?" and "let me have it!" type exchanges

Script is EVERYTHING

It all comes down to how well the actual talent used in the video can execute it. Bubbly personality and a sense of enthusiasm helps. Models who "get it" are usually the ones who perform well with skits, gags, and full lengthy scripts.

Yes I agree with you. It is very irritating when the producer is feeding the model the lines and you hear that all throughout the scene. The least they could do is edit there own voice out of the scene so all you hear is the models voice.

Does a well-known producer actually DO that???

I'm not a big fan of scripts at all however, I do enjoy models reactions and chatter about the experience though! Just me personally but I feel the script takes away from the reactions.

Scripts are massively important to me. I am 100% more intetested in a scene when the characters have some kind of purpose or motivation for throwing/getting hit with a pie. I think editing and blocking should be mentioned as well. I dont think there are enough "coordinated" pie hits executed properly here on the UMD.

I've certainly seen that, although this was several years ago (when I ordered CDs/DVDs rather than a download) and I don't have the disk to hand to name the producer; I don't think they're active nowadays.

More generally, my answer to the original question is (unhelpfully) "it depends".

For instance, I was re-watching an old episode of Frasier recently. The premise was that a woman had spent the night in his apartment, but she didn't want another visitor to know. So, she sneaked out and rang the front doorbell, to pretend that she'd just arrived. Frasier opened the door, then said "Wait, it's raining outside!" So, he grabbed a nearby vase, took out the flowers, and tipped the water over her head. She just stood there and gave him a look that said "Yeah, thanks for that." That was genuinely funny, and made me laugh out loud. By contrast, I've seen some WAM videos that are convoluted ways to make someone say "I don't know" before they get slimed; I just find them tedious, partly because I don't have the same nostalgia (being in the UK).

Even if you do have an amazing script, can your cast actually deliver it? You either have to give them time to learn their lines (which will probably increase the cost of the shoot) or prompt them (which either leads to the clunky approach above or "jumps" every time a chunk of video is cut out).

If you don't have a script, I think that it gets boring to watch someone sitting in a chair and getting pied/gunged repeatedly; it actually feels a bit weird if the whole thing is completely silent.

So, I like the gameshow approach: have a reason for people to get messy, but also let them improvise their own lines, rather than reciting something. I think MostWAM do that really well.

However, that's just my own personal preference. If you want to scratch an itch by writing a script then go for it!

What we want is good acting. which mostly need a script.

Don't forget that WAM videos can really only have one take! Unless you're going to shoot it in such a way that each dialogue is its own scene and each bit of mess is its own scene, when the model is messy it's very difficult to reset back to a point just before the last pie hit them!

Also, speaking as someone who's modelled in the past, once you're messy, you don't really want to be stood around doing endless retakes of scenes!

a well paced script is a good thing. well set up gags are fundamental. that being said it doesn't need a lot of wordy exposition to build anticipation, such parts are better skipped. i try to find the sweet spot between script and pacing. I try hard to never reuse a script in an effort to keep things somewhat fresh. that's just my take.

I prefer unscripted videos. For me it is very annoying to watch the girl just following the script.
Two girls? Tit for tat (PERFECT for me) or like question and answers. If have nudity.. tit for tat + nudity (take my money ). Just my opinion/preference.

Of course I will not generalize, there are very good videos out there scripted.

As you can tell from the responses, everyone has different preferences. I liked scripted WAM-- my fetish arose out of mainstream WAM scenes (i.e., scripted). However, as others have said, they find the scripted scenes to be worse. I don't envy producers. You try to broaden your buying audience as much as you can, but doing one thing to garner a purchase from this customer may lead to losing a sale to that customer. I think you should produce the WAM that YOU like. That you want to see. If you don't like scripted WAM but feel like you have to do it because that is what will increase sales, your scripts will suffer as will the final product.

I love scripted and like others said earlier, a girl just sitting there getting pied/slimed with no context is boring.

Alot of the earlier comments here seem to associate "scripted" with specific dialogue that actress have to act out. Between contrived set-ups and bad acting, this can really take you out of the scene. The way to have a script and yet keep a natural flow to the proceedings is to give the girls a basic set up and let them improv their dialogue. But stay on top on them to make sure they follow the "rules" they were given. For example, I always request face hits only, dialogue between pie and don't let it be a free-for-all, no giggling, etc.

I agree Ken. The problem is, I or WE are hiring models, not actresses. I haven't been doing this very long, but so far, I've had zero models even bring there script with them. I haven't had any lengthy scripts yet, but there coming and my fear is that I will have to throw them almost every line from off camera and than edit out my voice, which will cost me lost of extra work. If the scripts stay simple, it will be much easier. That was the reason for the question. I appreciate your feedback though.

Ah Rich. You know the answer to that question. I would rather not name names. I'm not trying to cause any in-fighting here. I'm just trying to get everyone's perspective on this, and throwing in my own likes and dislikes in the process. I buy from a wide variety of producers, and I even buy the scenes that I might be bitching about. These things bother me, but are not deal killers. For me, the model and how well she gets messed up is more important. That's how I judge weather or not I will buy the scene or not.

My two cents: I think a basic script and some prompting is fine, But first and foremost, remember what you want to see. I think sometimes producers can be too caught up in the dialog with the actress and forget to direct the scene. So my suggestion: Get all your dialog shot, yuck it up all you want. Then focus all your attention on the money shots and shoot the actual pies with little cross talk or distraction. Make sure the actual pies are delivered well, the models are positioned in the right place and they don't block the shot with their hands, wipe their face too soon or avoid getting slime on their face by keeping head down. IMHO, the general frozen-with-slow-motion-shocked-face-dropped-jaw aftermath is always a winner in my book. Have them however you want for acting (standing, sitting, etc.) but for actual pie or slime delivery, having them seated in stationary place will help you avoid the subject moving out of shot. But you should get what you like. Focus all your attention on making sure you are getting the shot you want and the pie delivered and received the way you want. And you don't suffer the dreaded "blown first pie." You can put it all together when you you edit it. It's like magic.

A good script and good acting/delivery can add a lot to a scene, but does that ever actually happen? I dunno. I appreciate the effort many producers put in to their scenes, but I think you can't set your expectations too high. Might be further ahead focusing on mess quality and finding models who execute the types of reactions you want.

Scripts are for actors, not models. If they can't pull off a script convincingly, it's just a cringe-fest usually. You're also wasting their personality. Who wants to see robots pied?

If it's important to you, Mr Pies, then - yes.

Get a feel for the market, by all means, but the best films are going to be the kind you want to see made. There are many fans out there who want to see a woman messed up in a comedy sketch because that's how they frame their desires. There are many who also couldn't care less and you can't please them all.

The model sells the work, first and foremost, followed by the way in which they get messy - then it drills down from there. Bold, sexy and exciting visuals appeal more than text. Again and again people say they want to see natural reactions.

A set of directions will work better than a script. Don't make life too hard for yourself.

A very long time ago, an established producer gave me what was probably the most important advice I've ever had in WAM productions: "Shoot what you personally want to see."

It is totally impossible to satisfy everyone in this marketplace and attempting to do so is a sure and certain route to chaos, madness, and fevered dreams of tentacled monsters from alien dimensions hurling hundreds of non-Euclidian pies per second at the most beautiful models on Earth - and all the pies landing but leaving the models completely clean and unsplattered...

While all of us who are into WAM generally want to see someone of our preferred taste getting messy (or wet), the potential variations within that are absolutely enormous. Some the plot line is everything and they won't even be that bothered if the gunging isn't that good if the build up to it delivers what they want. For some it's all about the look of the recipient - think of all those South American game shows that get discussed endlessly on here, mediocre actual gungings and often bad camera work (from a WAM POV) too, but very beautiful people, and with the high production values that come from mainstream prime time TV. For some it's all about pies in the face and they don't care if you never even see the model's chest never mind their legs, whereas for others it's strictly no-sale if you can't see the models' feet for the entirety of the scene. For some it's totally about the clothes, and being able to see the models' outfits getting messy. Some live for high heels, some for wellies, some for bare feet. Some for short skirts and low-cut tops, others for overalls and t-shirts.

When you shoot your own passion, you'll put in that extra effort to really make it work, and the scenes will "pop" as a result. If you try and pander to the market based on commercial considerations above all else, the result will be lifeless and sales will be similarly moribund.

Do what you love, and chances are you'll find others who love it too, and will support you.

I gave an opinion earlier, but that is 100fucking% exactly right. If you shoot what you want to see, then you are doing your best to shoot it, and you understand it.

For an example... look at the couple of porn producers that have looked at the fetish over the years and tried to come into the market. They're gone because making videos about something based on a psychology you don't understand means its easy to miss the mark.

It's also why i have little patience with producers asking people what they should shoot. Honestly, if you have to ask you have no business doing it.
