I paid Fawn back in June and have not heard from her in over a month, despite my being polite and understanding.
I offered her two options: to either return my money or to send me 2 picture sets instead of video. Hell, at this point I'm perfectly willing to wait, I just think it would be curious to receive a response from a paying customer.
I'm at a lost as to what to do. I know her real email address but hesitate to use it as I don't want to be a stalker. At the same time, she owes me and I don't know if I'll ever see it again.
Other than that, I wouldn't let being a stalker concern you, as she has effectively taken your money and ditched her responsibility (if not to produce the video, than at least to maintain reasonable contact). Of course if she's ignoring you intentionally it probably doesn't matter which email address you contact her at, so cast the widest net and hope she answers.
Or wait for my next business venture - the WAM Custom Escrow System! Never get screwed on a custom again! Expected completion date is TBD, but please send me the money now. Also be on the lookout for my WWTOLD bracelets, because in times of crisis, The Oil Lord is definitely someone to look to for advice, as he's not at all condescending.
I follow two general rules when ordering customs - where there's smoke there's usually fire (see, e.g., Kaydens, Skylar), and when someone disappears for a long time then reappears out of the blue and says they're taking customs (see, e.g., Phoebe, Fawn) you might want to pass or be patient enough to first see if they deliver on their new promises before actually ordering one yourself.
The Oil Lord said:It's unfortunate producers have to scam people. In general, female producers/models realize that guys think with their dicks instead of their brains, so the women use that to their advantage by luring and seducing guys with their sweet-talk and empty promises. Fortunately I didn't pay any funds because I was beginning to doubt the model's sincerity.
I find this pretty sexist. It's not just female producers who have scammed members here or who have used "sweet talk and empty promises" to fool customers into believing them. Just look at Chris, by far the most prolific serial scammer this community has ever been plagued by; he apparently gypped many different people out of money they sent him for customs over a period of years.
There was also a guy in the very early days of the internet who scammed a bunch of people out of the money they sent him for VHS tapes of his model Terry getting pied (pretty sure that was her name).
And of course, there is Neil Edwards, long an esteemed and highly productive member of the WAM coummunity, whose business ethics unfortunately went sour in the years 2010-2014, a time during which he often promoted sweeping discount sales on DVDs of his work. He readily took people's money for these DVDs, then instead of actually sending the DVDs, merely generated endless streams of emails filled with excuses, lies, and unbelievable tales of insufficient postage . (He has since sold Pie Fight Girls to another UMD member, who thankfully seems to be on the up and up as far as honest business practices go.)
I remember the pics of that model Terry from way back when there was so little to look at(compared to now). If I recall correctly she was wearing some fitness instructor outfit of sorts which helped since I didn't find her too attractive otherwise. I may be mistaken, but I think the guy also 'sold' a video of her with a gameshow format where she would get pied for the wrong answer. This video turned up on one of Hurley's clip tapes later and made me a bit suspicious of how he acquired it.
You're right about the model Terry usually wearing fitness instructor type outfits in the pie videos she starred in. And I agree she was not one of the more attractive messy models, even in those early days when there weren't a lot to choose from. But I didn't necessarily hear that he ripped off ALL of his customers; I just heard that at least several people sent him money for VHS tapes they never got. (It could've been that he never sent out a single VHS; the stories I heard just weren't clear one way or the other.)
So it's possible Hurley was one of the (hypothetical) customers who actaully got what they ordered from this guy before he turned into a total scam artist. Or perhaps the guy traded his one of his original videos (maybe before he started "selling" them on the internet) to Hurley in exchange for cliptapes. Hurley used to promote those kind of trades to help him acquire more rare material (he'd trade you for TV clips you'd recorded if he didn't have them, or for original wam material you'd shot yourself).

Actually Fawn had been following a pattern in recent years of reappearing occasionally and offering a limited number of customs. She find so last year in Feb and apparently delivered. It is hard to believe that someone with the legacy she has built up would suddenly take the money and run! Skylar (who ripped me off) was here for about a year while Kayden (who ripped me off) was here for 4 years. Fawn has been here since the year started with the numbers "19" on and off.
I got ripped off on buying some vcr tapes from a guy in France, cost me $70, but so far I haven't got ripped off for a custom yet, I know a few sites that don't rip off their customers for customs, I'm more into wetlook myself, but I do like some messy, and pied.

In my own defense, I can only echo the words of bestselling author Carol Higgins Clark, who published a book several years ago called Gypped: A Regan Reilly Mystery. After catching much flak for her choice of title, Clark issued this statement: "I am truly sorry for any offense caused by using the word 'Gypped' as the title of my book. It was a familiar word since childhood which no one I knew associated with its origin. Since this issue arose, I've asked many people who also had no idea of any negative connotation." Like Clark, I had no idea of the origins of the word and am sorry if I've caused anyone offense with my use of it.
Meanwhile, Oil Lord is totally unapologetic about his sexist bile. In a thread on the seemingly vanished producer Kaydens, he said this:
The Oil Lord said: As for calling me sexist based on my choice of words in the comment I made in the other thread, I'm just being a realist. I don't care for any of that political correctness BS. The comment is and always will be true whether you like it or not. The truth hurts. The average person has the wool covering over their eyes and I am not one of them anymore. That doesn't make me a paranoid, sexist freak like you suggest but rather cautious, especially when dealing with finances.
I'm not condoning these women's profession, good for them. They can do whatever they wanna do (I'm Pro-Choice everything in a non-statist way). But they are in business to make money and they know when it comes to sex and fetishes, they got the guys by the balls (hence guys thinking with their dick). The women use that to their advantage, and if you find any fault to that statement then you are just denying yourself. All I can say is I have entered the pit, but I have not fallen into the pit. I have not succumbed like the unfortunate ones.
In an attempt to get this thread back on track, I'm posting some photos of the past glories of Fawn and some of the other ladies of WAMF to remind us what great work they've done for us in the past.
Fawn, please come back to us and reclaim your good name!
Ha! I got semi-ripped off by WAMF in their heyday (they offered an annual subscription DVD thing that they stopped fulfilling halfway through), and thought about disclosing that on the forum, but decided that what I actually received was (just barely) worth what I'd paid. But I never did business with them again. Although it wasn't Fawn who signed the snotty e-mails from their end, it was one of the other models.
Someone needs to tell WLP Robby to get with the "90's Producer" trend and quit the forum, then wait for people to make threads in your honor, then reappear to offer customs, then disappear with the money. And possibly repeat Steps 3 & 4 as needed.
Posting funny comments on random threads periodically won't cut it buddy!!

Robby, another option would be to lend your support to THE OTHER WHITE MEAT, aka the 90's Producer Trend Take 2 Diet. In Rich's scenario, you have this awkward, inconvenient, uncomfortable gap after leaving the forum when you're just sitting around, twiddling your thumbs and waiting for the day when you can come back to the forum to rip people off. With the Take 2 Diet, you can start ripping people off as soon as you're done participating in the forums. Just send out lots of spam emails to your mailing list promoting deep discount sales on quantity purchases of your products. Then when the money rolls in for those products, just conveniently "forget" to send them out.
String your suckers -- er, I mean customers -- along for months and months on end, telling them that their products are already in the mail, or you're about to put them in the mail, or that you did put them in the mail but they were returned to you due to "insufficient postage." Eventually you'll wear them out, they'll stop bugging you, and you can just keep their money and enjoy it without worry. Also, on the side, you can accept money for custom videos that you will never shoot nor refund.
[Those who noted the uncanny similarity of THE OTHER WHITE MEAT strategy and that of Neil Edwards in the years 2010-2014 get a gold star. For the record, although Neil was accused by six different UMD members of failing to fulfill large DVD orders they'd made, a seventh long-term UMD member testified that Neil screwed him out of a custom that he'd paid for.]
Well, it's sad news, but it's hard to avoid the conclusion that Fawn has been less than a scrupulous producer, based on the reports of multiple UMD users. I bought quite a few things from WAMF and never had any issues at all. There was one time I got a very snooty email reply from Brynn, but I didn't get ripped off in any way in that incident -- just caught some attitude. I am sorry to hear others did get mistreated, though, especially since it was by a producer who seemed to genuinely enjoy her work and was really good at it.
Call me naive, but I like to think that gorgeous Ally was innocent of all this chicanery. In fact, here's a photo of her right after she first discovered some of Fawn's questionable business practices. You can practically feel the disappoval oozing out of her, no?
Well, if there is a possible scam by anyone, no matter if they are 99.99999% reliable, you know that I will be th .000001% so Fawn also has my money - started last year when she got the outfit which I paid for and then did her quota and said wait until next time. I paid for the rest this year 3 months ago and have tried to be very patient about it but she has not answered my emails in a month and I have :"only" been ordering customs from her for almost 14 years! So I think I can say that I am more hurt than anything else but that translates into angry so I wish as Rich impliedt, that people would stop honoring her with pics since I think she is about to disappear for good and burn her bridges behind her.
I am not saying that that was her initial intent, but if you cannot work it out with your camera man after 3 months, at least explain to your clients that its a no-go this time and give the option to get a refund or exchange. I think most of us are very understanding but I get the feeling she has some financial issues and has spent the deposits already and is unable to refund them.
It really hurts to have to finally post this but such is life!
Just out of curiousity, did anyone attempt to message Fawn when she posted the message for people who paid to message her asap? If so, what did she say the reason for the delay?
I emailed her again last Sunday basically asking if it had all come to this after 14 years and got no response. I was the one who suggested she post on the forum to clarify so I did not need a detailed explanation. So unless anyone has heard otherwise, should we assume that Fawn too has crossed over to the "dark side"?
I thought I was only ripped off for $420 but she confided in her brother that she ripped me off for over $1000. She's as smug as a thug, like a slug. Good luck collecting.
ps, she frequently signed another name on her snotty-mails.
