Welcome back to You Can't Do That On Set, a themed show of skits and shenanigans.
As it turns out, Lilly has appeared in every single episode of this series. And in all of them, she's gotten slimed, which Lilly has definitely taken notice of. This has lead her to believe that there's a conspiracy to get her and the rest of the girls green slimed. And that's what the very topic of this episode is all about: "Paranoia." All the other girls are on edge because of Lilly's theories and beliefs that "they" are coming to get her and everyone else. Is Lilly right? Or is this all in her head?
Set Pollution:
7 Chunky Green Slimes
5 Waters
4 Pies
In the after footage we have all 4 girls playing rock paper scissors to see who gets the the two extra pies we had lying around. We also get to see all 4 girls playing in the aftermath of the final scene showing off their messy bare feet.
- We shot this entire thing in 1 single day!!! - It was shot in chronological order - It's the first time I really tried to keep a general color scheme to each girl's outfit throughout the whole episode - It's the first time we got 4 girls in one shot - This is the first time Melody got slimed from a clean start, so of course it needed to be green
Ah, reminds me of the scripts I wrote for a similar series more than a decade ago.... Sadly never got the logistics (or models) together to pull it off. Glad someone is living the dream tho!!

It's been a personal favorite of mine mainly because of shooting it all in one day. It really felt like a full on production + behind the scenes scenario even though I was the one making it, lol. I also do pretty well when my feet are held to the fire so to speak. While we didn't HAVE to do it all in one day, I really wanted the challenge of it.
Slime...more slime!!!!!

What's so amazing about these scenes is how the water and slime are falling right there in the living room, in the bathroom, at the kitchen table. That's what really sells it for me: making it look unscripted, like we don't care where you're sitting or what you're wearing, you're gonna get watered or slimed and it's your fault for saying those words. Very reminiscent of the old show where it felt like no person or place was safe. But how do you execute this without destroying everything within a 10 foot radius???

I'm very glad that you get this vibe!
As to how we don't destroy our home? Lot's of tarp and prep. While we've had plenty of unwanted splats and splatters... there's been no 5 alarm leaks.
*KNOCKS ON WOOD*
The worst thing I've done to a part of our home would be in 'A Day in the Life (of The Wife) 3.'
I had The Wife lean against our very un-tarped wooden hutch as I dumped slime from standing on top of it. It splattered big time, and looks amazing...but...it got ALL up in the hutch's hinges as well as it's many curves and crevices. It really has never been the same since. I just wanted that look like you talked about, where you get pied/slimed no matter where you are.
Looks like another fantastic scene! Is there going to be a bundle for episode 4, 5, and 6, the same way there was for 1, 2, and 3? I would snap that up immediately! In any case, keep up the fantastic work! YCDTOTV will always be my preferred scene type, and I agree that you really capture the idea that slime, pies, and water are just part of being alive in this universe. Wish I could live in that universe!

Yes, she absolutely did. My Wife and I watch AEW wrestling, and it's rubbed off on Lilly a bit. She's also done the scissor hand gesture with Wife in an after footage or two.
