Okay, I know that during the pandemic Costco decided to stop making their giant sheetcakes. But then I remember I saw that they decided to bring them back and keep selling them for the same price. So yesterday I ordered 2 of them and when I picked them up today, found out that what I ordered is most definitely NOT the giant cake. These are incredibly regular sized cakes and I'm so disappointed. I mean , I'm about shoot a scene with Larz and Daisy, so
the stakes for mess needs to be much more epic and I was seriously excited for these giant cakes. Now don't get me wrong, these cakes are still going to be used, but seriously this is like getting up on Christmas morning and unwrapping a giant box as big as you are, only to find a couple of $5 coupons for Starbucks in the bottom of it.

I haven't forgiven our local Sam's Club stores for discontinuing the sale of #10 cans of chocolate pudding. Those were part of SO MANY good scenes back in the day, including half of one ending up in Eilvanwyn's plastic panties during her initiation into the Church of Pientology.

That is disappointing. Reminds me of when McCain stopped selling their frozen cream pies for $1.50. When thawed, they were absolutely perfect for pieings!

WOW! I'm so sad that I'll never get to experience that low of a price for pies I bet you had some epic messes!

That's really weird.. I wonder if it's a regional thing... the Costco near me most definitely made one of the giant cream filled sheet cakes for me not so long ago

Maybe you could double up the two cakes into one larger cake, then just double your Costco order (4 cakes, etc.)...?

this reminds me of when Walmart here in Canada stopped selling there bakery Banana cream pies, They were the best for pie fun

now to get a banana cream pie for wam I have to either order from a an expensive bakery or make one from scratch

Ugh, yes, fuck Walmart too! They used to have the best cream pies on the market for incredibly cheap and now I haven't seen them in over a year!

Yeah I think it's per location, cause this particular one kept saying they never offered that size before. So this does give me hope that it's still a possibility to get them

I went back to sams club to purchase MORE of the unfrosted sheet cakes (you could get them for like 6 for 36 bucks.

Which cut WAY down on cost and time to prep and all that.

They HAVE THEM but they said now? They dont have them "priced" or something.....but you can get online and they are there...with the price.


I had a cart of 5 boxes with 6 cakes each---the bakery handed to me---only to be stopped while checking out and they "couldnt ring it up" even though the code was right there online...and it had the bar code.

but? im excited to see you all work with larz and daisy! I missed them when they were near me bc of a surprise trip to peurto rico that lasted longer than I thought! I hated it! so fucking sad.
