...BESIDES GREEN!

The Man and The Wife monthly poll time! This month we would love to know what your favorite color of slime is. We have a feeling that green would be the overwhelming winner, so we want to know what else is one of your favorite colors to see.

This is regardless of consistency, length of pour, what the model looks like, what they are wearing, etc.

Keep in mind, if you have a particular shade/brightness/darkness of a color you like, then match it as close as you can to your vote!

Examples:

Gold is a vote for yellow.
Brownie batter is a vote for brown.
Fuchsia is a vote for pink.
Navy is a vote for blue.

Don't know why, but I have really fallen in love with using Yellow in my slime. I guess it just doubles down on the brightness of the slime, and it shows up really well on camera

Def. would be green, but I'm also a fan of black. I love the way it just completely covers someone's features and makes them unrecognizable.

Your hubby and I have a lot in common. Green is my absolute favorite color slime for that same reason, but what is a second place!? THAT should be your vote.

Blue oh blue...

Personally, when I was producing, the color for the first sliming would be a contrast to the main color of the dress she was wearing. That was in the day when street clothing WAM was prevalent. A second slime color would be a contrast in color to the first, and so on through all the containers we prepared for the session. So, no color was ever a favorite, and no color was off limits either, but I believe that there was never a situation where white would be the color to choose for the first.
But for a favorite, it would be red, as long as it wasn't a red dress.

Purple

Green for the win, but depending on what she's wearing I love the look and consistency of the now discontinued Blue Velvet cake batter. That lighter blue on my wife wearing a collared white shirt...oh man...

And I agree with another post about contrast. Normally I hate purple. I hate everything about the color, seriously. No idea why. But one time my wife wore a striped polo shirt and we used a lavender colored batter and it was amazing.

And I normally don't like yellow because of the way it shows up on video. Just not my thing. But one time she wore a black leather outfit and between that and her darker skin the yellow just WORKED.

Green is my default but I'm open to matching the outfit.

Actually quite tricky to answer. While we regularly use a variety of colours in scenes, a couple of favourites are the stunning lilac you get when fluorescent pink and cobalt blue are mixed together, which is a much nicer colour than the one sold as purple, and also clear, uncoloured gunge, which we first used in a custom but liked so much we now keep a stock of it, it's like being able to pour "thick water" into someone's clothes. Will vote purple for poll purposes.

Brown - but only as brown relates to chocolate, not mud. It really does get that finicky.

And good old custardy yellow.

NOTHING wrong with old-school green, but -- of the colors mentioned in the poll -- I'd have to go with black.

I accidentally voted for pink because it's my favorite color. But I like blue slime better because dark blue underwear is not something I wear (or like seeing others wear) and I want whatever color the slime is to contrast with my/her underwear for maximum showage.

Totally. Matching our colors is one of my favorite parts of the session. Something really hot about discussing which color we should dye the cake batter so that it "goes with her outfit".

I've only recently begun incorporating slime into my messy shoots but neon colors have been a theme of most of my art. electric blue, hot pink and neon green have been the messyhot color palette for along time!

I love purple, blue, neon pink, yellow, orange, dark chocolate (chunky or smooth), and white. Red doesn't do much for me anymore. I'd much rather see a white sliming than a red one.

Voted Yellow, but Pink was close, considered Purple. Black is last, Red almost last.

Maybe I just like colors that are clearly fake and don't want ones that resembles too many real substances that would squick me.

Blue seems to be a clear winner. I had no idea! That's my favorite color in general. Green will always be my favorite color for slime specifically, but blue was my vote for the poll. I like a nice electric blue or a nice bold blue.

Depends on the outfit, for me the slime needs to be a real contrast to outfit. e.g. red slime on a red dress doesn't work for me but white slime on a red dress would.

Not so many years ago, there were discussions here about red substances for wamming. It was often thought that red looked too much like blood, and a number of people didn't like it for that reason. To me, blood and red slime don't really look anything alike, but that was the consensus at that time.

Perhaps, some people still feel that way.
