I think you all know that I like women in wet clothes. Why else should I be on that forum? My absolute favourites are women wearing wet leather and I am convinced that you have even noticed that already (look at my avatar). And I know that I am not alone with that! So, why is there no wetlook producer specialized on that? We have wet leather at e.g. wetlooker, wetlook.biz, wetfoto etc. but no one only on that. What do you think about it? Let me know.

We need more stuff like that on the pictures!

Leather is relatively expensive, even second hand, and tends not to survive being soaked unless a lot of expensive and time consuming care is taken. So from a logistical point of view, it makes more sense to use leather in messy scenes, where there's more chance of a return on the investment, than wetlook ones, at least for any producer who does both.

I for one LOVE this idea. The more leather the better. Yes, it can be costly, but it's worth it. And we do have other options now such as "faux leather" and "vegan leather" which I'm guessing are close to the same thing.

Either way, as someone who has encouraged female friends to get wet in leather clothes and even done it myself, good quality leather can survive for a few rounds... unless you decided to totally trash it, which is also amazingly fun!

I agree that swimming or getting wet in leather is wonderful but I also agree that is really needs to be taken care of if you are going to get it wet a lot. I have gotten wet and muddy in real leather and faux leather plenty and always make sure I treat my real leather so it will last, especially my tall leather boots. I can't say I specialize in leather wetlook because I like to get wet in many other items but I do leather often and love the smoothness of it in the water.

I think the approach is very commendable. I also find leather in the productions very good.
Also, I understand the concerns about the economy and that a purchase for a one-time use is too expensive.

On everything that is made with Kustleder I have no desire! Here it is a product of petroleum and plastic. Real leather is nature and remains alone through the meat industry to use sensibly.

New types of leather from fish, cactus and apples never have the properties of real leather. These are "organic" , but waste food.

To use genuine leather more effectively in the areas of WAM is quite simple.
Wet leather simply must not be exposed to the sun and must dry slowly. While this is happening, rub in body lotion every now and then and roll through.
Until the destruction, the things so hold out some actions.

For European producers I can provide leather clothing (xs to xl). We can come to an agreement about that.
