Here is goes:
Can you get STDs from gunge (or condiments, ect)?

I promise this isn't a shitpost. This is a genuine question. So... without ridicule, can someone answer?

If I get into the gunge first, you sure can!

You pass most STDs by exchanging bodily fluids. If you can think of a way that someone's bodily fluids get mixed in with the gunge, and then that gunge comes in contact with a part of your body that could be infected (urethra, mouth, eyes, vagina, anus, sinuses, ...), then yes, it would be possible.

I would list it as *highly* unlikely.

Sugary substances can also cause existing yeast infections to flair up.

No...it's a good question, and one that I think would vary a lot on the substance and the act. I guess a good way to pose it is this. Can I get an STD if WAM WASN'T involved? If the answer is yes, then it's safe to assume that you still could if the substances were involved.

Then to play devil's advocate, over 80% of us already have an STD, even if we were virgins. Herpes can be passed simply through skin contact so...

It's kinda f-in terrifying that something like that could survive in a pool and infect you. I generally stay away from public pools. Hopefully no one from Vegas discovered an extra little nugget from the golden nugget pool...
