"Warning! Boldfriends--please read/share"
Hi everyone.
Just wanting to leave a message here to inform everyone about an account named BoldFriends, formerly known as 4 Daring Friends. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Back when they were 4 Daring Friends - along with a select number of pre-recorded videos, they would offer custom videos. I really fancied one of these custom videos, so I enquired and made an arrangement with them. I paid them the cost for the video - around $60 I think.
... Unfortunately, about 10 minutes later, my banking app was going crazy on my phone, alerting me that there was some suspicious activity happening. I logged on to find myself a victim of fraud - with several high amounts being deducted out of my account.
- Coincidentally, this was the last time I had heard from 4 Daring Friends too, as they then blanked every other message that was sent, and would then appear to stop responding all together.
Nearly a couple of years later, I still have not received the video I paid for. After giving up, and recognising I was scammed out of hundreds of pounds, I then saw an update from them!
They've now renamed themselves - perhaps a new identity to cover up their old one, seeing as how on their previous page, I was NOT the only one who had been a victim of being scammed by them.
24 hours later, their original page is down with all the comments on the posts saying how people had been scammed, and a new page has surfaced.
They claim they were a victim of being scammed themselves, and that the people responsible are now gone.
It all stinks of rubbish and lies, and after given them countless opportunities to prove themselves that they are now legit and to provide me with the video I paid for, the best they could do was offer me a discount on a new video... begging the question - Why would I pay once again, when I was previously scammed and when I'm already in debt of receiving a video?
Seeing as they're still up to their usual tricks, and other people will fall victim to this - I think it's only right to expose them for the scammers that they are, and to make everyone aware to stay away.

Correct, via Instagram - although they were known as 4 Daring Friends back then.
The exact same thing happened to me a few months ago. once I sent them the money for the customized video they blocked me. And yes, I contacted them v Instagram

Had a look at their insta. There are some photos that say there are comments, but when I go to look at the comments, they're not there. I can only assume these are comments calling them out as scammers. One image has that comment, but I'm guessing they haven't seen it to delete it yet.

Thanks for the heads up. I inquired about a custom here on 5/27/21 and they messaged me a randomly on Saturday 9/17/22, I guess intending to tell me they wanted to do it. They accidentally forwarded me a custom someone else had asked for I guess or maybe they were ordering? and said their account was hacked.

I can see the comments you're talking about but there's nothing really bad. I see one person calling them a scammer and a few more just asking about certain models.
That instagram account seems too have disappeared as I originally saw there posts and such coming back but now its gone. Probably for the best that its gone. EDIT found it but its a new account claiming the main was hacked, from what they have said it was someone in the group scamming people but I would not trust it , THIS IS WHY you go through UMD for customs if it goes bad Mess Master can try too help. I also think its worth noting that they say they use Paypal which is a Terrible Idea and a great way to get your Paypal account permanently banned.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE investigate people who you pay for customs with. There are many threads on here about how to do customs. Hell there is a group that talks about it where MANY producers have discussed the right way and wrong way to do customs. The approved list has been a pretty good radar for the most part. Make sure you have contracts, etc etc etc.

Really, their store should be kicked off the UMD in my opinion - because those videos they do have up will just encourage some users to enquire about customs and the same thing will ultimately happen to others.

Well, considering they're stealing people's money and seemingly not doing a good job of hiding it, at least we can say they live up to the "bold" part of their username...
How would we be able to get them removed from this community? They should have the privilege of being able to sell on this platform totally removed.

"Proposals and possible solutions" - Basically - instead of providing me with the service that I have already paid for and did NOT receive - BoldFriends did indeed offer me a discount code for a future custom.
Question to the forum... who else would be satisfied with a discount code to spend on another custom when:
A) - You have already paid for a custom and did not receive it
B) - Your bank account was raided with fraudulent transactions straight after sending the money for the custom.
C) - When your messages went unheard, and you were ignored.
Personally, I have paid for a service, and they have not provided it. I am also one of many users that were scammed by these people - losing money and not receiving the custom.
But it's okay... because they feel a discount code on a new custom video will resolve the matter.
How about - provide me with the service I paid for?
Had they have actually agreed and delivered, I might have believed their sob story.
Any legitimate business would actually have a shred of true customer service.
Whilst mine, and other users had decided to agree to customs - acknowledging the fact that they were done privately and not on the UMD - I still do not believe it is morally right for this group to have a platform to sell content, because my experience will be replicated with other users for as long as they have a prescence on here.
Morally, you wouldn't support anyone who was up to no good.
How do we know that you are the real administrators of the website and not the scammers trying to get more money by pretending to be the "real" administrators? Either way, people buying customs should always do you due diligence. Or unfortunately, you get the consequences of not doing your due diligence.
I would like to add my experience with this "company." I ordered a custom from them last Monday, to be delivered before 9/24. Then on Tuesday I saw this thread pop up (the timing was a bitch lol). I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt, especially after they had responded to this thread. Well, this past Saturday 9/24 came and went, and nothing. Tried sending a message with no reply. Sent another yesterday, no reply. This time though, it said they had recently been active, meaning they had completely ignored me, and scammed me. Thankfully this was a lower amount, and am being refunded after dispute where my payment came from.
PLEASE everybody, do not order from them, do not give your money to them by downloading preexisting clips from their store. I'm with the OP in hoping their store is removed, and that they are banned from the UMD.

About two weeks ago, 4daringfriends did contact me first over inbox, stating that they had just come to understand that some ex-members had been going out and taking orders for customs, using their brand name without their knowledge. They asked me for advice and I said that if this was true then they should defend their brand. But they told me they'd already been advised to just start with a clean slate, a new business name, and new legal and security policies going forward regarding brand name use. I helped them update their UMD account name and URL, and at their request, helped set up redirects from their old store to the new one so they wouldn't lose any traffic. I have no clue as to the veracity of their claims but I wouldn't say that they are trying to hide.
All that seems to be a separate issue from nondelivery of paid customs products, which from what I understand are still not resolved, and not acknowledged yet by 4daringfriends / BoldFriends. They are not on our Customs List and I have no skin in the game with their private agreements. However.
They have taken money from me - and literally raided my bank account of hundreds straight after. Failed to provide a service. Ignored me.
They have now done the same to another user - (with the exception of raiding their bank afterwards), but are still taking peoples money and not delivering customs.
They only offered me a discount... but why would I feel comfortable paying again for a service I didn't receive in the first place, and after I was scammed?
I appreciate you're being impartial here and cannot swing in either favour - but it's very black and white that you have a group of people on here up to no good, not delivering and essentially by allowing them to remain on here, they have the ability to PM other users, and arrange for more customs to be made off this website. How many others will fall into the same trap? Probably many.

I am curious how your account was raided. Any bank or financial institution would do a stop payment. Unless you gave them your routing number and account number.

Maybe it's totally coincidental and I just happened to randomly have my card cloned straight after paying them, but sounds a bit coincidental to me. No card details were entered, just my login to the site to make the transaction.
The bank notified me of weird activity and after some time, I was given the funds back.

An update of the situation as I understand it, in case it's not clear: BoldFriends is claiming that old business associates were taking unauthorized orders for customs, and that's the cause for the undelivered customs and later, the business name change.
They say they're still owning up to it, and acknowledging that b_gungelover is owed a refund, and I believe they are currently negotiating on how to make that happen. Either of them can correct me if I'm wrong. Just wanted to update everybody

And to think I was going to complain about them just for their ridiculously high prices for weak clothed wam scenes relative to the far superior content out there. Hope y'all get your money back.
Somewhat tangentially, what happened to some of the good latina wam channels that were on here in the past few years? There was that one that had a model named Marlims, one with the two girls (one was named Sofia)... don't tell me they were booted for being scams too
