My opinion of someone using OnlyFans - You do you. If you think that's a way to go, knock yourself out.
My opinion of OnlyFans - Pricing is buried in the TOS. They charge 20%. They also have minimum charges that you, the uploader, can charge (4.99 recurring). I think they specialize in adult entertainment, but I can't confirm. In their TOS, they have restrictions on "obscene" materials, but they don't specify what that is, and they don't ban "nudity" or "adult content" by name, so see if you can scout out some other content before committing. Gay porn model Danny Gunn has an account, so you can check that out.
As far as what I thing of OnlyFans specifically, I find them overpriced. Patreon allows adult content, so long as it's not actual sex acts (penetration or masterbation) if it's marked as such, has lower fees, allows patrons to choose their own payments (recurring), and the minimum recurring fee for patrons is no higher than $1.
Considering I don't create content on either site, there may be some nuance that I'm missing.

Honestly? Why not just get them to make a store on here if its WAM stuff they are filming?
I just don't like the idea of funding something with no control over what I want to see - I'd rather see a store where I can click to buy what, and when I want. I don't like being held over a barrel, it shows no respect to those willing to part with their cash for your content.
I once tried to join OnlyFans to access some WAM content but couldn't get past the signup process, their customer service was incredibly rude and it's put me off going anywhere near them for anything, to be honest.
I have tried a few Onlyfans sites but in the main have been disappointed. Not in the content but the frequency (or infrequency) of the updates. Some sites update every other day or so but others start off with lots of updates but then fall off. If you are interested why not start on UMD so then you can gauge what fans want and then branch out later? Good luck anyway

Its an idea but it takes a certain kind of person to do well on it... Otherwise you might as well post media for free if youre only making a few quid... I think there is a difference between a UMD store and only fans...
Onlyfans is aimed at personalities creating extra content on top of the content they post on social media. A store is for someone who is creating half decent quality media.
Only fans many people are producing short clips compared to store are full scenes.
Depends how much effort it is on the person producing the content, whether they're into it or want to make money from it.
