Perhaps a strange post but I'm wondering, for those who have wammed while wearing a wig, did you clean the wig or chuck it? Did it clean up like new or was there any staining etc? If it cleaned up, was it previously totally trashed or just a bit messy? Cheers! Isla
Hi Isla, I have had many extreme messy sessions wearing wigs. They have been completely covered in both sweet and savoury foods. Assuming they are synthetic and not real hair, they can be rinsed in cold water to get the worst of it off. Then washed in cold water with washing up liquid, rinsed and finally finished by soaking in cold water with fabric conditioner which is left on before blotting and leaving to dry. The wig is then clean and ready to wear for the next trashing. Joanna x
If you use slime/gunge, or shaving foam, rather than food, the wig washes out quite easily. You just need to wash it through with some shampoo after, and leave it to dry.
One scene in particular with Vicky as the naught messy clown the wig is lost after the first few pies and is soon tossed aside alone with the red nose. Super hot scene but it really shows what will happen to a wig when covered in heavy mess.
Hi Isla I wear wigs and if you wash in normal shampoo then a good conditioner I have had no probs having said that my fav substance is foam based which is soap anyway but even other stuff has washed out ok.
