There has been a discussion on the Dunk Tank Forum regarding an old movie with a dunk tank scene. The scene has similarities to this one but also some inconsistencies. There is a chance that it is Texas Carnival. In any case this discussion was born a long time ago and not resolved. It was posted to the other day and I just happened to stumble across this still that shows the entire dunk tank.
It is on Facebook and for some reason I am unable to directly link it. My storage space on that forum is full, so I am posting it here. It must have been some sort of publicity shot because the movie is Technicolor (VERY jump out at you color).

MK brought up some very valid points of why it can't possibly be Texas Carnival. I would certainly love to see the scene. Anyone from Ireland please put on your thinking caps as MK well pointed out that the movie must be of Irish origin. I pasted the posts the person posted on the dunk tank forum asking about the flick. Please have a look and see if you recognize it.
There is a low budget film where three, down-on-their-luck Irish persons work at a drab English amusement park. One of them, the girl, sits in a dunking booth with the title of "Drown Delilah." She gets dunked a few times. After, she tells the other two how she'd like to quit her all-too-wet and humiliating job. Makes you think how much fun being in a dunk tank can be; if it's just for laughs. Doing it for a living is another matter. Can't think of the name of this film. Does anyone know it? Maybe there is a clip of the dunking scenes.
The era of the film is the 1980's or 90's; contemporary. The girl was wearing a dark swimsuit and a long skirt (as best as I can recall). She was very pretty. Wish I knew the name of the actress. One of the funniest bits in the film is when the girl is in the dunking booth, one of the guys walks up to her and asks: "Do you fancy a poke?" "A WHAT?!", she responds in a bit of shock. "A poke, you know," he goes on, "a cone, an ice cream cone." The girl laughs with relief, just before she falls into the water for the third time. It's a good movie.
Well, I know the pic you put in the OP of this thread is from "Texas Carnival" because the You Tube clip I put up matches it perfectly.
However, this Irish clip you mentioned, can't help you much there. I wouldn't even know where to start looking for Irish films (most foreign films are not listed at the IMDB).
