So I love a good cream and custard pie, but the cream tends to stink something awful after about a minute on the face. I figured that a non-dairy alternative might be a bit less distracting.
Found some recipes for aquafaba based whipped topping, whipped instant coffee, and that Elmlea cream alternative which i'm gonna try, but would appreciate insight from anyone who might have experience~!
Any experience with vegan/non dairy pies? Ideally it should (in order of priority): Taste good or at least alright (so no shaving foam) Stick to the face Make a good splat Hold its shape for more than a minute Look good in the pie
Would appreciate any suggestions! Got a session with a friend soon so will test out what I find!
(oh and UK based, so no Cool Whip. Unfortunately T_T)

This makes me so sad! BUT I think you can get non-dairy creamer and use that in whipped cream dispenser. Whipped cream dispensers are only $50 online, they make the best cream! Maybe look up the ingredients for Cool Whip and see if you can use those in the dispenser?

It's a crying shame we dont have cool whip over here T_T
Do they sell Coconut vegan whipped topping. Rice whipped cream cans, soy whip or almond milk whipped cream? Ready whip, silk, and hood make canned spray whip cream but not sure if they have an international market. Vegan bakeries and health food markets provide great options. You can also use vegan lemon curd, compote fillings like cherry strawberry or blueberry pie filling. If you go with compote wear dark colors the stains in fabric are extremely stubborn.
I just made vegan topping / meringue from "aquafaba". It worked pretty well if you're OK with light and fluffy stuff. I think it would be good on top of something more dense and sloppy (maybe vegan custard??).
I've found that the kind of sex positive and open minded people who might like to try WAM are quite often vegan, so I think I'll be doing some research on vegan desert items over the next few weeks so I can accommodate!
