Going back to Mexico, Infinity pool dumps right into regular pool. You can stand in regular pool and just get dumped on, by accident or on purpose. Below is story from 2012 visit (who knew you couldn't repost a really old post).
I had someone pour glasses of pool water maybe inches above my head, I had three glasses of ice water poured on my head, there were a lot of people watching my reaction so there must have been a lot of talk. Some guy taking pictures was actually directing people above me so he could get a good pic.
The best one though was a woman who just dumped over and over and over. She did it for about 20 minutes straight. I figured it was a couple kids doing it, I looked up and it was husband and wife. They were just dumping over and over and just enjoying themselves. A lot of people at the pool bar were watching that incident.
There were also a group of guys who did it a couple times and wanted to do more but I was uncomfortable with their drunken hooting and hollering so I walked away. I'm totally OK with someone doing it on purpose, but I just really felt bullied there. Maybe I shouldn't have been so sensitive.
I'm not going to pretend that I completely understand what was going on here, but you shouldn't feel like you were "too sensitive". Especially if these guys were drunk and acting it.
I teach young children IRL, and that's always been one of my pet peeves. When staff label children as sensitive or emotional that is. Drunk people don't really factor into my job much. People shouldn't be afraid of their emotions or think they are bad. If someone makes you uncomfortable, you shouldn't feel the need to apologize. Just my two cents.
