I thought it'd be fun to share some messy references in unexpected places.
I joined a weight loss program, Noom, and they were encouraging good habits and they offered humorously creating a machine that throws a pie in your face if you don't wake up to your alarm clock! After reflecting on the fact that I'd never get out of bed if that existed it got me thinking of asking if others have experiences/references of mess in the real world
TeaClub said: I was having my phone looked at recently because it had stopped charging. Out of nowhere, he says 'it's probably just a load of gunge in the port'.
The thing was that it was the phone I took my messy pics with and there was a real chance that it was in fact gunge that had ruined it!
There's a YA spy novel series called CHERUB that I LOVED growing up and in one of the books they're renting a house for a mission and cleaning out the pool in the backyard and it says something to the tune of "there's a ton of gunge in the pool".
This was when I had first started getting into WAM and I froze seeing the word "gunge" and long story short I got caught reading a book in math class because my teacher saw my face go white and thought something was wrong.
