I'm not even really into celebrity slimings, but when my friend Cody messaged me, I was pleasantly surprised with the reaction
..,obviously I would prefer the slime to be thicker, sloppier, chunkier, and dumped all over her head... but again, that's why I don't like celeb / TV wam. I feel like for those that do enjoy celeb slimings, this has to be one of the better ones, right?
Not bad at all! Cool of her. She must not take herself too seriously. I've always thought she was the sexiest gal in the MCU. Well... maybe a toss up between her and Elizabeth Olsen. But the black widow catsuit puts Scarlett over the top.
Hey Kelsey- now that ScarJo got slimed, one of your vids featuring the other Scarlett getting slimed pops up with all of the big-name websites in Google Search
I've had a crush on her ever since Lost in Translation and to see her get slimed would have fulfilled a decades old wish. But I chuckled as I saw the clip and I think the slime bit maybe was her idea since MTV and Nickelodeon are owned by ViacomCBS.

Oops.
God I hate Twitter but this DID give me an idea. At the very least I slimed other Scarlett a hell of a lot better than Jost! (Even other Scarlett's husband slimed her better than Jost, for that matter. )

LOLLLLL.... Me announcing an "epic Scarlett slime video" and then revealing an iPhone vid where she gets like one thin dribble of slime down her forehead would be the ultimate troll move EVER.
I do have a couple Scarlett clips in the vault, though, just letting a little time pass. But there's one where she does the sequel to her last AMA (where she remained clean despite saying "I don't know," because that's what happens IRL) and does NOT escape this particular time.
Robby, that IS the bit. It's the deal with the devil that all female celebs who get "messy" have made over the last 30+ years. When they show how "down to earth" they are by getting slimed.... or taking a pie.... It's ALWAYS in a T-shirt, hair up, no makeup, and usually shot simply and poorly. Attractive female celebs getting messy while glammed up went out of style in the late 70s, apparently.
(At least in America. It held on in the Latin America countries into the early 2000s or so, and then resurged with Chega Mais and broke "models" who needed work.)
I still love mainstream WAM, but when I wonder why the "classic" scenes work so much better for me, that's a big reason why. Would anyone still be caring about The Great Race if Natalie had been hit with pies by her husband in the backyard, wearing a baggy T-shirt, shot on Super 8?

This
Maybe it's a latter day generation thing? This love of the casual? The mainstream WAM that really cuts it for me is invariably 30 or 40 plus years back for all the reasons above.
Points for effort, boo for the clothes, but mostly with Rich on this, the COVID-era award shows have been a mixed bag - some folks dress up, some don't (see Jason Sudeikis' well earned Emmy speech in a tye-dye hoodie).
I'm taking it as a positive overall, maybe she tries it again for KCA or something. My only oddity with it - is this an actual joke? Do people actually get MTV and Nickelodeon confused?
Oh Yeah! (pelvic thrust)

Au contraire sir.... (I speak fluent WAM and French)
It happens here in the US a bit more regularly than it used to.
But "the bit" is not only the slime, the bit is that it's an AWARDS show. What happens at EVERY awards show? You get dressed up celebs.
Didn't Vanessa Hudgens get "blood slimed" recently presenting an award when all dolled up?
I want consistency ding dang it.
The awards show that you alluded to IS a major U.S. exception..... but as per the post directly above, we don't mention it here. Was the Vanessa one something else? I remember seeing that and being a little disappointed.... at the coverage, not the wardrobe.
I'm sure I'm forgetting some dressed up mess, but when I think of recent mainstream scenes, it's all like the Top Chef woman in a plain shirt, Jennifer Garner on Fallon wearing giant goggles, celebs on Ellen dressed down with the same goggles, etc etc.
