As you've probably heard, I've been working with UMD producers to offer streaming memberships to their stores. I didn't really want to announce it yet because it's still a work in progress, but it's been going pretty well so far! Some people just seem to prefer these old-skool type memberships over download stores, so now we can give them both!
If you have a store that has mp4's in it, let me know and we can talk about offering streaming. It's a set-and-forget type of thing where you just specify the criteria for what scenes will be available to the member, for example just the older scenes. Then it'll update itself over time based on the dates, without any extra workload on you. I'm open to ideas about other ways to tailor the content in your packages, other than granular selection of the scenes.
So thanks to the early adopters, and the members who have already joined. Hats off to Epoch and their developers too, for modifying their own systems to let this happen. This is just the beginning!!
Woohoo! It's proving really popular already although I think it's really important to explain to customers it's an ALTERNATIVE to buying the downloads not a REPLACEMENT so not to worry. I've said elsewhere there are pro's and cons to both methods but nobody is losing out. Both the methods are there.
This is so great MM!!!! Thank you for doing this! I am hoping some of the other sites that recycle old content and don't really have anything new hop on board as well. I think this would be a great way to get their stuff out there. I have mentioned in other posts collecting sites together and offering a bulk package. Something like everything considered old by producers goes into a price plan. That way a lot of people can get exposure to their stuff at a decent price. Kind of like the sampler appetizer at a restaurant.
Great idea well done to all involved one of the main reasons I closed my store was due to lack of updates from myself if I knew this was available I would of offered this route for all my content
