Gonna briefly chime in to concur. Cost of ruined apparel certainly played a factor on my cutting back on the number of CD sploshing scenes I do as a NB wammer.

Though from back in the day when I was doing the crossdressmess website (I realise that this being the internet and a relatively fresh user account means I'll need to back up that claim with some evidence so here's a few unreleased thumbnails from unreleased videos) I actually had a pretty decent track record for being able to reuse wigs. When it came to wigs the cheaper they were the more likely I'd be able to save and reuse them. Cheap, artificial fancy dress wigs I could get away with stuffing one into the foot of a stocking (to prevent the loose fibres getting caught in the machinery) and chucking it into a delicate wash. In the thumbnails below the workplace wear scene was the first outing for one blonde wig which was still going strong in the later Elizabethan queen scene after a couple more reuses!

Any reasonable quality wigs I quickly learnt not to risk. That being said did find the occasional cheap wig that would have fooled me into thinking it was much better quality than it was (the red head wig in my attached thumbnails being one such wig).

Whilst I didn't do too badly wig wise t'was the clothing that was more of an issue. I mean no matter how many times I tried to clean the business suit from the attached images I couldn't get the smell of cream out of it. Had the website been able to subsidise it better perhaps it would have eased those costs but if there was a major Trans/CD WAM market out there then it eluded me.

Nowadays when Elise is let loose it is more often for non-WAM kinky play than sploshing. Most of the sploshing I do these days I'm either administering from one of my masculine dominant or game-loving Switchster roles.

Anyway I'm starting to drift of the point but anyway yeah I think the costs involved along with needing to find a audience within overlapping interests* is one of the biggest challenges for Trans/CD wammers wanting to go down that route. I suspect there might be more chance of success trying to be a general fetish model and build a following across a number of different fetishes doing the occasional sploshing video.

* When I say overlapping interests it's not as simple as Trans/CD admirer and splosher. Obviously people's splosh preferences (pie fan vs gunge fan vs food fan vs mud fan etc) splinter the potential audience for each video further and then you may get additional clothing demands too. Each of those decisions seems to reduce the audience for a given scene further.

I have gotten a lot more attention than I expected to from replying to this topic, lol. So I guess I'm setting up a store on my next day off.

Just briefly before I start want to quickly thank those who unexpectedly left such kind comments either here or in DM regarding the CDM site. A few were deleted by the users before I could find the time to sit down a give a proper thanks to them (busy day here) but just wanted to say I saw and appreciated each of them in case they're still following the thread in lurk mode. And as someone asked in one of those deleted DMs I can still be emailed at the site's crossdressmess@gmail.com email address though be aware that I check it rather infrequently (fortnightly/monthly).


Have been pondering a little further on this issue for trans/CD WAM since my post last night and did a bit of hypothetical thinking with my older "Producer" hat on and perhaps there is an alternative way in which trans/CD WAM could be supported. I will just clarify before anyone comments all this hypothesising is based on the assumption that by the time any such group could be formed and is organised enough to be able to do their first project Covid won't be a limiting factor.

Instead of going down either the "make a clip and hope it sells," speculative business model or someone shelling out the full whack for a custom/experience perhaps some sort of community group/kickstarter model might work.

Essentially form a community group including trans/CD sploshers and admirers wishing to see more of that sort of content. The group's admin/executive team would try to seek out at least one WAM producer in a geographical region within which splosh models could reasonably travel to (eg. One in the UK, One on East Coast USA, One on West Coast USA etc.) to partner up with for projects.

Group members can then propose a "project" consisting of a number of scenes that could all be shot on the same shooting day (essentially if people are going to the trouble of setting up a studio, travelling to a shoot, cleaning up and so forth then it is better to whack out multiple shoots in the same day than just one hence why many studios offering an "experience" are able to offer bulk discounts on doing more scenes in my experience I was able to bang out 3-5 WAM scenes when shooting CDM in a shooting session). I'll briefly layout a basic project idea for illustration:

Project: Generic WAM Gameshow

Number of models required: 3

Project Assumptions: Shooting studio only has facilities for one model to wash and change at any one time so as to maximise output having 3 models allows 2 models to be filming a game round whilst the loser of the previous round washes and changes. The producer we have partnered with has a gunge tank that could be utilised.

Project Idea: 3 Trans/CD models take part in a WAM gameshow in which each round sees a different type of messy forfeit for the loser of the round.

Round 1: Loser of this round gets soaked with water in the gunge tank. For production purposes it may save time to film the models playing this round but defer filming of the forfeit soaking until after Round 5 as the soaked model needs only to dry and change in preparation for the final round involving all 3 models).

Round 2: Loser gets pied. The two models in this round take part in a quiz. Each right answer earns them a pie to add to their inventory. The model with the most pies in their inventory at the end of the round gets to give those pies to their opponent however they feel like. The pies the "loser" added to their inventory will be kept for the final round.

Round 3: Loser of this round gets gunged in the gunge tank.

Round 4: £20 makeover. Each model is given £10 in advance to bring £10 worth of messy food items with them to the show. The 2 models playing this round compete to earn the right to give their opponent a makeover which all the food the both of them brought with them. (The food brought in by the non-competing model will, along with leftovers scooped off the floor from this round, be kept for the final round).

Round 5: Loser of this round goes in the gunge tank to be covered in mud.

Final Round: All three models return for the final round. (Omitting some details of game to reduce length of this example) During the previous rounds models accumulated points. The player with the most points gets to secretly nominate one of the other two for the final gunging before taking the throne in the gunge tank. The current "leader" plays against the other two models (who don't know which of them the winner has picked for the gunging). If the current leader wins the nominated model gets the gunging but if the runner ups win then the leader is gunged instead. Gunging in this round consists of gunge from the gunge tank and the two other models using the remaining pies, food and gunge from other rounds on the victim. That way no purchased mess goes to waste.

Project return for investors: This project aims to create 6 videos one for each round of which anyone that pledges either money or stars in the project will receive copies of all 6 produced videos for free. Depending on the models and what the financial backers decide this project might be an "exclusive" (only investors will receive videos and no other copies will ever go on sale) or some scenes may be put on the group's store to help fund future projects.

So once a project like that is posted people can discuss it and see if they want to contribute towards the project. For instance if any Trans/CD sploshers like the idea enough they would be willing to volunteer their time, some cheap outfits and travel costs to appearing in the project if filmed somewhere they could get to. Admirers and fans would be able to volunteer by pledging to invest an amount of money in seeing the project produced. Potential investors could make suggestions to try see if a project can be crafted that enough people are willing to invest in (let's say mud fans aren't interested in the mud tank but the partner studio can't do mudlarking so a few fans that want a second gunge tank scene but with contestants in lingerie instead of fully clothed may get more investors). Any investor wishing to see a particular model wear something in one of the scenes could negotiate it with them assuming they willing to invest more than just the cost of said clothing item. Projects that are looking like they might have reasonable levels of interest could then have a member of the group's admin approach the partner producer about the scene to get a quote to film it as an "experience" package - having got the funds upfront for such a shoot means they no longer need to worry about profitability. If the project manages to get enough pledges to fund the scene and additional expenses (such as any outfits if any were requested by community and need sourcing) then the funds for the scene can be collected and the producer paid in advance and a date for filming arranged between models and producer.

Everyone investing time or money into the project would get all the videos for free and depending on what has been agreed either it remains exclusive to the investors only or we could seek a release from the producer we partner with to be able to stick it on a community clip store to raise funds for future shoots (likely to also be done in partnership with those producers so likely to result in more custom for them).

Obviously an idea like this is a lot more hard work than either the conventional business model or custom clip routes and so would take quite a few willing people to do it. There are certainly challenges such as finding producers that would be happy to do such a partner role (and potentially allow the group to later release the odd clip to fund more shoots with them) as well as being able to achieve the compromise between multiple investors to back any project (hopefully they can see having a few things they want in one or two clips out of five clips they receive for much less than the typical custom vid is worth the compromising with others but it could equally become fraught).

Anyway I've blathered too much so I'll stop there as I thing I've outlined enough of it to for enough people to judge whether they might be interested enough in such a community group led approach or not.

I'd love to see more of WAM involving TS women. I've asked a few producers as well about creating WAM content and their response was that there wasn't really a market for it. At least not a market where they would make a profit. I even asked Nadia Valentine who is a beautiful TS woman and into getting messy and she agreed she couldn't make money outside of charging for customs. Anyways, would love to see more from amateur wammers maybe. And any TS wammers out there, would love to hear from you and chat, exchange pics messy or otherwise.

I could certainly see theStickyTrickster's business model working. I have always wondered about the number of people who like watching CD/TV/TG WAM. I guess we'll find out!

If people would like to try the community group model I mentioned before I suppose I could cobble together a Discord server for the group to discuss and plan things. However before I do I should make clear that when I was originally setting up crossdressmess.com years ago I was meant to be doing it in partnership with another potential CD/TV model who was also going to be shooting stuff for it but when it came time to launch they went AWOL and I was left trying to do it all solo and I just didn't have the time to do it solo and so that combined with the losses being made meant I had to shelve it all. As such I'm extremely wary about starting anything major that could wind up with the entire workload getting dumped on my head again as others hope that other people will do it instead. I am perfectly happy to contribute to a team of volunteers to try get a community group like this off the ground but I cannot devote the time to do it single handily. (Furthermore given the group would need to collect funds for shoots and possibly sell clips to raise funds for other shoots there should be a management team that oversees the finances of the group to ensure/reassure people no-one is embezzling from the group).

If at least five other people DM me to say they're willing to volunteer to help run the group (we're talking tasks like and not limited to helping moderate the Discord group, promoting the group, reaching out to potential producers about forming partnerships, organising the collecting of funds for projects with enough pledges, arranging and booking shoots for funded projects etc rather than volunteering for star in shoots) I'll start work on a server unless anyone has a better idea.

It would also be useful to gauge how much interest there would be in such a community group. I don't know if it is possible to create a poll midway through an existing thread (if it is someone please feel free to create one) but if not if people reading this would be interested in joining such a community group as a member please either comment below or like this comment. Whilst content produced by the group itself will likely be limited to those that invested in each shoot I don't see why the group could possibly have separate channels for different geographical regions for say free messy classifieds for Trans/CD sploshers and admirers to try meet up or some other free perks for members.

I enjoy sploshing in my personal and professional life. I've shot some customs and had a few live scenes but overall, for the amount of time and money spent, I never found the results to be worth it from a professional standpoint but who knows, maybe 2021 will be different.
