I get my rainwear nice and wet before putting it on and then washing it down with a big sponge and lots of soap and making nice big suds that run over the glossy rainwear with water.
Early yesterday morning, at first light, we had very heavy dark clouds overhead. It felt unusually mild, even warm. Light drizzle started to fall. I decided to change for a walk. There was a strong breeze blowing. For the first ten minutes outside, the light rain made me only a little damp. Disappointing. A view towards the horizon, however, looking in the direction that the wind was coming from, showed that everything was obscured by a grey curtain sweeping down from the clouds. The rain became steadier before gusts of wind carried a series of splatters against my back. I felt my light rain top wet against me as rainwater bounced all around and the footpath became awash. Now it was absolutely pouring. I carried on for ten minutes, suddenly enjoying this walk so much.I Numerous joggers, walkers, and cyclists passed. I turned around, to feel the rain battering into my face and drenching me to the skin. Lovely!
