Hello everyone,

I have sad news to share regarding our friend Norman Mabeld: He recently passed away after a long struggle with heart disease. He hadn't been very active here for the past several years but those of you who have been around for a bit will recall that he was once one of the most enthusiastic voices and prolific commenters on this site. I am forever grateful for his support and encouragement, especially way back in the day when Bigshipper and I first started posting content and I was very nervous about it.

Generous to a fault, he never had an unkind word for anyone - a rare quality, indeed.Though his physical heart failed before they could find him a new one, his "true" heart was one of gold and I will always remember him for that.

He often told me that he was my biggest fan (though I think he said that to all the girls, lol). He did make me feel like a movie star and even asked for an autographed photo once!

If you have a moment, please share a thought or a memory of Norman, maybe a photo that you know he liked or would have liked - I know he would get a kick out of that. I'll start things off by sharing the photo that he asked me to sign. (it's pending approval)

RIP, my dear friend. I hope the pies are flying wherever you are.
