The pie fight starts at 0:40.
There are various points when you can stop the video on a camera flash. One might have to go back and forth to stop on the flash. I found that the flash at 0:46 illuminates stuff in the background that is otherwise hard to see.
There is quite a bit happening in the background. For example, at 0:51-0.52 there is a short women taking pictures with her cell phone whose face is clean. In the background at 0:57 It appears that her face is now pied. One has to stop the video at the right spot to notice this however.

Well that looks like a fun time. Reminds me of that other Roaring 20s event giant pie fight in LA from years back.
Oldie but a goodie! Can't believe it's been 6 years. There needs to be another viral "pie challenge" thing coming around again....
Also, at the time, there was other random footage on FB and IG, although no idea if it's still there or not. Might be worth digging if you're into it. But please don't be like banned UMDer and known creep-o AntDX and pester people for "unedited footage" (like he does in the comments of this very vid)....

Thank you for all of the likes. I thought the pies were piping rather than shaving cream. I don't know, though. The event was advertised in previous youtube videos. I think that one had to buy a reservation with the money going to charity. I wanted to go, but I just couldn't take a red-eye to Providence, RI and a red-eye back.

And it's funny you had trouble finding it, some of that user's videos have the name of the person getting messy, but manu are titled "two women pied" or sometimes simply "slimed." Amazing that we're able to find anything on YouTube at all...

Like, these videos all made the rounds at the time... The ALS Pie Challenge was a real thing, so there were regular posts?? I mean, it's fun to see the vids again, but I didn't think any of them were "lost."

Oh--this is how one embeds a previous reply into a reply. I checked out the previous forum posts. I suspect that this thread got more interest because it included the video of the event and ideas of what to look for. I am surprised that the 2024 thread didn't have video of the event. I've had it bookmarked for years. Thank you for sharing those previous threads. I hadn't seen them before. To forestall any questions of why I didn't share this video sooner, I would like to remind those who read this that I have only been a member for a month.

The best/worst is when there isn't even a preview. Just a link with a title like "Instagram find."
