Italy was barely rock, Finland was Stronger if a little "Helsinkin Park". Switzerland was dull, France not much better. Overall solid performances from everyone, which is a shame as I watch for the madness, so thank you Germany. UK, please stop vomiting out more of factory produced banality and remember we used to be known for The Who, Genesis, Pink Floyd et al. We will never be voted for but have some respect!
There is a theory going round that the UK deliberately submits sub-standard entries in order to make sure we don't win, because if you win you have to host the next one, and hosting it is expensive and takes a major event venue out of commercial use for at least a week.

Which then gets undone as I believe that we get to host it if some of the minows win it!
I know this is nearly a month late, but here we go. Italy was an amazing winner. France was also fantastic. Lithuania deserved higher but top 10 is still pretty respectable UK, we weren't amazing but we didn't deserve 0 points (that should've went to Norway). Germany was hilarious and deserved more points just for their sheer novelty value. Overall, a great show and just what we all needed. Plus it was a reminder of the big events that bring us together and that they're on their way back. PS. Folks should give Amanda Holden a break. Yes her jokes were cringey but they were just jokes.
