Be fair...there are many people who come to UMD *only* because there are pics.
It's a valid reason to visit and be a member. For many members, that's all they do. They don't want to chat, they don't want to interact. That's why profiles have a 'keep to myself' option.
For some people, it takes a fair bit of courage to move on from that position. And again, some are happy doing no more than that - a bit of chat here and there, or a couple of messages.
And even amongst those who even vaguely entertain the idea of meeting up (your tone and your previous posts suggest you're frustrated that people haven't come forward/followed through), many hurdles remain.
From my own experience with the SploshNGo salon, I know that there's quite a rate of attrition between someone who expresses initial interest and the eventual meet-up. (Probably just as well - it keeps the numbers more manageable ). But that's the same with any service or product provision, in the fet world or outside.
Not everyone you talk to - even at length - is going to end up going through with a messy meet-up session (or buying your double-glazing ).
Be cool about it, carry on talking to people, and just be happy you've found a friendly, welcoming community that embraces your fetish
The internet is full of timewasters.... go spend some time in Fetlife and wade through the fake trash in there!
There are places to meet messy people into all kinds of fetishes including WAM. These places don't sell themselves as dating sites but the community is very active and 'most' people appear to be real and willing to meet up. I have one site in particular that I use to sell fetish equipment on that I build in my workshop. It's pretty much the only one I use now.
I've had people pretty much arrange a meet down to quite specific details like time and what materials to get, then to ghost me, and reply after the agreed meet should have happened with 'oh well I forgot, and why do you expect me to reply to your messages?'
Have had some success with guys who were not timewasters and actually were upfront about things.
