I think these are fantastic THROWN Pies, but there is definitely a hard line between those who see smushed pies as superior.
Me personally, I think the perfect hit comes from one of Messy Girl's old school scenes.
Scene 228 Staring Wednesday and Gia. The first hit of this tit for tat pie fight scene is my favorite smush pie. The willing face, no flinching, the grabbing of the back of the head, the hard hit, the massive thick pie, the firm hold after the hit, the incredible messy after shot. Beautiful!
Veronica was also an all time thrower. One of my favorite videos ever is one of her, Page, and Naomi where she is just laughing her ass off and smashing pies during a pie fight. There is also a pretty good one she did with Nicole, Christina, and Tatiana where they were apparently not ready for her pieing style.
There's usually a couple thrown hits that sound like that in almost every shoot I do these days, honestly. I mean, it's a good well-thrown pie hit, but it didn't strike me as particularly unique or amazing. The crust-only throws actually make for better impact (and sound) since they "explode" on impact.
I think it "sounds" dramatic because this was shot on VHS 20 years ago and you're hearing the sound of a very compressed camcorder mic that's picking up ALL the auxilary room sounds.
ANYWAY. There's a bunch that are just as good or better, but this was one from SS155 that someone liked enough to turn into a GIF. And believe me, if you own the scene, this one sounds like a gunshot!

These hits are all great, but Veronica does something immediately after the hit that makes it even better - she opens her eyes.
Rich is good but since he prefers his models to have a good time he doesnt really do hard/harsh hits. Same with PieZone. Although some are good. And are relentless. Especially in the Gameshow ones. But seems like Rich he doesnt spook the models.
Slimedmodels has good hits as well. Oh and The Man The Wife. Theyre all into WAM so they go all out when they throw pies.
