Cool whip is absolutely amazing, pour it, smear it, put it in a pie. Mix it with marshmallow fluff or frosting and you have amazing pie filling, damn you can even bath in it, some would consider it to be the best wam substance.
So what's the problem? Availability. I think I can speak on behalf of all European wammers when I say we need it here. I've tried it once when I was in USA (also jealous of US and UK tub frostings), and I fell in love with it.
So the question is, what is the closest replacement to buy or make it in home? this is truly sacred knowledge so help a fellow wammer out
I'd like to try out making vegan aquafaba cool whip. It's essentially just the water from beans, cream of tartar, and powdered sugar optionally with vanilla or vegetable oil. Cost wise it would be significantly cheaper; like $.50 per tub of coolwhip. I haven't had the chance to experiment with it, but there are recipes that call for no vanilla/oil/sugar, so potentially could be really cheap if you don't mind the bean smell/taste. Since it's not dairy based, it shouldn't leave the lingering dairy smell that gets trapped in the nose. Also, you get the beans to play with as well.
We used to use cool whip, but switched to vegan whipping cream instead. Use it exactly like real whipping cream, adding either vanilla and sugar or pudding mix for flavor. Doesn't melt any faster than cool whip and there's less oily residue. Here's what we use, not sure if there's an equivalent in Europe: https://www.countrycrock.com/en-us/our-products/homestyle-products/heavy-whipping-cream
I don't have answer for the replacement problem sorry But I do have a bunch of pics of my wife on my profile getting pelted w pies mostly made with cool whip and sugar or cake icing or marshmallow fluff and sometimes pie filling if u like seeing messy women If that's any consolation? Our first handful we used heavy cream which I did like if it turned out right but she didn't like the smell in her nose for the next several days

We don't have an equivalent (at least not my country) but from the ingredients I see it would be very easy make it so I'll try it out, thank you!

And here we have another problem... Tub frostings like Pillsbury or betty crocker simply doesn't exist here, like at all. (Import from UK is 12$ per tub, yikes)
One time I tried making it myself from butter and icing sugar and let's say it went horribly. I'm still waiting for someone experienced to tell me how to make good frosting haha

Well I guess I have motivation to get some new substances so me and my girlfriend could have as cool photos as you!
