Aren't these things usually supposed to be discussed when the booking is originally made, so you are both comfortable with what's going to happen and that your needs will be met too?

I'm not in a position to consider a 'session' but knowing the costs involved I wouldn't be organising something for that much money and just walk into it blindly. I mean, wouldn't you at least need to plan 'supplies' (unless shopping together for supplies is part of your fantasy I guess).
