Inspired by the rather excellent work of 3D Slimer I was curious what was achievable for the enthusiastic amateur in terms of simulating messy stuff in animated 3D renders.
I realise this is not going to be everyone's kinda thing, but I see it along similar lines to my like of messy artwork.
The results of these first quick tests came out quite cool, I think. At the moment these are just using a non-animated model to work out the liquid and particle flow things. Next step is to spend some time perfecting the model's movement and reaction to make an animated scene.

Thanks. The important part is fluid simulation software to make the flowing particles. Realflow is the best for this. That can then be used with some sort of 3D design and rendering software, in this case Cinema 4D. The characters were quickly made in Daz Studio before being imported to Cinema 4D.
For movement I'm gonna start playing with motion capture to get something realistic.
