"it wasn't all heart-wrenching tales and mind-boggling oddities in the thread. One husband detailed how his wife's career as a cam girl can benefit both of them.
He wrote: 'My wife is a cam girl. Some dude wanted her to do her makeup just like another girl (of whom he provided a picture) and for me to slam a pie into her face. It was probably the most fun I've ever had making $50.'"
(Hmm... wonder who the 'other girl' was. Are these webcam people undercutting WAM models?)
So, you can see it this way, but you can also see it as introducing new models to WAM. I've done customs with WAM producers, but just as many with models I liked who had never done WAM before. I never sent a picture of how to do the makeup...lol.
For some of us, it's the model more than the producer that attracts us.
I think you're mistaken in the notion that it's probably about the price, rather than the person.

No, I think *you're* mistaken in the notion that I was talking about its probably being about the price, rather than the person. I was speculating about who they were getting the model to pose as, because implicitly it wasn't a celebrity.

I'm saying when people go outside the WAM community, it probably isn't mainly for the price if they're anything like me. They don't do it to "undercut." The non-wam models probably have no clue what WAM models charge. They make a price that they personally think is fair. Usually without much in the way of formal market research.
As to who the non-celebrity might be, it might be the person's ex for all we know. Assuming they are paying people to dress up as some WAM model requires a leap of faith, unless there was more data given than you mentioned. I'd bet that it's just as likely, if not more, someone of personal interest to the buyer. That could be wrong, but where's your data to suggest they are "impersonating a WAM model"? And, out of curiosity, which WAM models do you think wear their makeup most distinctively, that someone would request makeup done like them?
