Hey...asking a question here as maybe a few others might want to know. Is the plan to film the show? It is a lifelong dream to be gunged in a gameshow scenario in a proper gunge tank, on a stage for a laughing audience would be absolutely perfect...but I absolutely cannot be filmed due to job! Am I going to have to avoid the stage like I did at the Welly? Also would worry about guus filming on smartphones etc...just wonder if anything could be dine as would LOVE to be brave enough to choose a 'get me messy' wristband.
Due to a number of people contacting us with concerns over filming & photography no such activities will be performed by S.L.O.S.H. or permitted. However! We do not have the resources to proactively enforce this so it'll be a case of trusting everyone to simply behave.
The WaM scene generally is extremely good at respecting the privacy and wishes of people within the scene and our previous performances have demonstrated this.
It does mean that we won't be able to produce anything for those that didn't attend to see.
Also for anyone with such concerns I'd like to remind them that this shouldn't be thought of as a sex or fetish show. It is very simply the exact same sort of fun as you would expect to see on TV. We of course won't prevent people from enjoying the experience but this is not an all out fetish orgy. If you've ever been to a student nightclub with silly games and drunken fun - that's pretty much the sort of level to expect.
I'm hoping to make it - just working through the logistics and hotel and hopefully dragging along a friend too. Only thing left to work out... What on earth am ,I going to wear? I wouldn't want to wear a nice shirt and jacket only to end up in the tank (or would I?)!
Looking forward to this and I have my ticket booked.
I was hoping there would be an official photographer though, as I could do with some new messy pics but I totally understand and respect the policy statement on photography from S.L.O.S.H.
There are plenty of messy games that take on a variety of different gunge formats. Some will involve pies, some gunge, some foam, some the gunge tank etc. It's all designed so contestants are randomly drawn, so everyone gets a fair chance to get up on stage.
As for the no photo rule, we will certainly do our best to strictly enforce it. As the Slosh webmaster said in a previous message, the group realises the importance of privacy, and fellow WAM members should do so too.
I guarantee it will be a fun and messy night, not to be missed!
I'm a member of S.L.O.S.H. and would give anything to go to this event. I just live in the states and cannot attend as many events as I would love to. I have been to one in person and it was fantastic. If you live in the U.K and have always wanted to attend a S.L.O.S.H. event become a member and sign up! You will meet many lovely and welcomimg fellas. How do I know this? I experienced it first hand and oh yeah the gunge is the pretty damn amazing as well. Sean in New Jersey
I'm there! At the welly event I was too scared to go on stage - not scared of gunge or the lovely lads running the show - just the photo thing. I think this time I'll be braver..or I guess could wear hood thingy?? Maybe some in audience would love that?? For me, ultimate gunging would involve facial expressions and hair ruined too though...so maybe just go for it! Come on lads - leave the camera phones switched off!!!
Some great progress has been made on the Gunge Tank build. Also we've got just 20 tickets left remaining, that means you still have chance to join the 44 others that have already booked. But don't leave it too late as it might sell out! https://slosh.org.uk/underworld
