-Fill a 5-gallon bucket halfway with hot water -a 42-oz can of oats -a 10-lb. bag of pancake mix
The 10lb pancake mix bag would equate to 10 boxes of cake mix. However the cake mix makes the slime a bit thicker, and it is a bit more soluble so there's less splatter (prefer the splatter), but you can add water for desired consistency.
Ive always used the 10-lb pancake mix, but always get so much gluten balls. Dont you have this problem? Trying to minimize the gluten balls getting stuck. Maybe I need to go with more water like you stated.

Pancake mix should not be used for WAM stuff (unless she's bald)
Any other suggestions that I can get from walmart other than pancake mix? Is cake batter a better choice? I need a new direction ans someones experience and expertise.
You will need about 5 - 6 boxes of cake mix for each bucket, depending on the fill/consistently you'd like to achieve. I also find adding about 4 oz of corn syrup remarkably smooths things out.
Mixing process - you'll want to use a drill with a paint mixer attachment. See example:
Here's the Wam with Benefits / Hot Mess Express process: 1. Fill bucket about 1/4 full with hot water 2. Add 4 boxes of cake mix 3. Drill / mix this together. Add additional hot water. Be sure to get the edges and the crevices at the bottom all mixed up. 4. Add food coloring. We love Americolor gel paste. 5. Add boxes 5 and then 6 incrementally, adding additional hot water as you go along, to achieve the desired consistency. 6. Add corn syrup, about 4 fl oz per bucket. 7. Add additional food coloring. More is usually bolder / better. 8. Dump on hot chicks.
For yellow and white cake mixes I have always found I need around 5-6 boxes/gallon of slime for my preferred consistency. I tend to use funfetti brand mix and I can get away with 4-5 boxes/gallon, they seem to be a little thicker but only the boxes that have the sprinkles in them. Chocolate mix I find to be about the same, 4-5 boxes/gallon. I never use more than 2 gallons in a bucket cause it starts to get heavy faster than you think.
As for cleanup, make sure you have a bit of a raised border in the area you are gonna use them so it doesn't start to run all over the place, use your hands or a squeegee to get as much off as you can before carefully stepping in a warm -> hot shower and it will come right off!
I add oatmeal for clumps or chocolate or Carmel nibs for extra chunkyness. We use cake batter or pancake mix but add decent amount of cooking oil to avoid those gluten balls
Costs more but gluten free mixes mix better but could have allergens
We use paper bags to hold up the garbage bags or compost bags and triple what ever we use up and toss in old paper towels to soak it up.
She then takes bath to get more stuff out and then good hair wash and good conditioning.
Pics on profile of u want see the types of slime, may still remember what exactly we used give or take
I can't speak for that specific kind of gel icing but I've used a ton of different store bought frostings and the only ones that have given me even the slightest issue was the hot pink buckets of icing from Sam's club and the Halloween black frosting from Funfetti. The hot pink Sam's clubs stuff just seemed to be stuck in like the creases in my hands and stuff and it took a bit longer to wash off and my partner had some red residue in her hair for a couple days from the black frosting, it wasn't really visible in her blonde dyed hair but you would see a slight red tint in the shower. I also find that dawn dish soap helps cut the washing time down.
I guess it would depend on size and desired consistency. I can tell you that for the large baking dishes from Walmart, or as they've been come to be known to me, faceplant receptacles, it takes about 8 boxes.
First off, recipe I used was 7lbs/boxes white cake mix, water, corn syrup, and green gel coloring. It was the best recipe to date. The corn syrup made the experience. Easy cleanup, alot of slime for a little $ and easy cleanup. Thanks for sharing the expertise.
