While it may seem a prerequisite on this forum now for the model to be naked, and either masturbating/humping/blow-jobbing (you know... WAM!!), it's not ACTUALLY required. For better or worse I'm the last producer holdout.

Practical reason: If I required nudity, I would lose about 98% of the models I've shot. Hopefully you can appreciate how beautiful they are without seeing their actual nipples!

Rich I actutally prefer the women clothed. The way you dress them (for example the gold bikini) is more of a turn on for me. Kepp it up! Dont change!

It's like Chick-Fil-A closing on Sundays. At this point it's the foundation of the company. Whatever money they lose from closing on that day is offset by people supporting them FOR closing on that day.

Rich, you have had to explain why you don't shoot nude scenes way too many times. It's ridiculous.

Now, why won't you get them muddy?

The lack of mud is easy:
1) No mud pits remotely near me that I know of, and
2) Not really a fan.

It's not like pies/slime/etc where you can just pop down to Food Lion and grab supplies. You can't "order" mud and you definitely can't shoot it in an upstairs studio space!

Would you be interested in some form of submerged dunking though? I like what MG does with that giant bathtub of slime/cake mix, but the logistics & setup are tricky. That said, I could try it outside once the weather warms up....

In general I agree with your assessment that when producers branch out into areas they're not personally "into," they usually suck. However, any time you find a new model who's really top-tier, I go against my better judgment and start inveigling you to get her muddy anyway.

I do like MG's "glop bath" scenes, especially when the girls are being mean to each other. I'm a mud wrestling guy, so if a pie/food scene catches my eye, it usually has some element of that -- either a combative vibe between the models, or playing in batter or pie mess in a way that's mud-like, I guess. So a solo scene of a girl playing in a pool of goop = maybe, if I like the model. Two girls in the same scenario would probably be a must-have.

Speaking of which, in case "MAKE THEM FIGHT" was at all ambiguous, I think Brin and Breana should do some scenes together!

Well, don't count yourself as the last bald eagle yet, Rich. There's still MostWam.com (aka the Leon Moomin empire) and WAM Photography (Wambert's store) and probably a few small ones we're both forgetting. In fact, you and Leon's stores are among the largest ones left standing. Long-timers like Lenny, Anglefan, Messygirl, and possibly WAMTEC are the only ones with comparably large catalogs available at this point.

So isn't it curious that two of the largest WAM stores on the net are also two of the very few remaning dedicated to clothed WAM? There's obviously still some market for it left, even if the margins are being eaten out from under you (as they are from under the feet of nude WAM producers too, by all accounts).


A very interesting point of comparison. Chick-Fil-A is an explicitly Christian company, hence their closing on Sundays. You've never touted yourself as a Christian WAM producer or anything like that, but in the past you have said your reason for not shooting nude videos was about "morals." I notice you have steered away from using this term in more recent years, as it is an obvious landmine. To your credit, you have never condemned any other producers for shooting more explicit videos, although you have often expressed exasperation at the proliferation of such material on the UMD in later years. I can sympathize with your feelings here to some degree, since like you, I was lured into the wacky world of WAM by those same innocent skits on 70s TV shows.

I actually have tentative plans to shoot Breana with a different (returning) model, and I feel like their personalities would actually lend well to that kind of scenario. I could probably mix genres by starting with each of them tricking the other into getting slimed... And then they move to just wrestling in the slime (with extra slime added).

And maybe the "loser" gets the pie treatment or something?...

Ah, I forgot about Leon's stuff... But yes, the Moonins are basically tops in non-nude footage (of all types) in the UK. WAMPhotography I always think of as just photosets, but to his credit he's been doing more videos lately.

I dunno... A decade ago, it wasn't just more "non-nude WAM," but it was also more scripted & scenario scenes too. Even producers like MessyFun and SSS/WAMTEC usually scripted the bulk of their scenes. And of course Robby, Neil, and Phoebe were very script-driven. I think Trotter and I are still trying to keep that going (and the Moonins did an amazing job with YCDTOTI, although that's been dormant recently)... But there doesn't seem to be as much interest for those types of scenes anymore. Too bad, because that's what I aim for every time, and it's a setup that Brin excels in.

Is there a market for pratfalls? I'm really exploring that more lately, but I think I'm finding ways to pull them off without sacrificing great coverage. Like a fall into a cake with excellent coverage afterwards? That's something you see in mainstream clips but almost never with WAM producers. (I also love what Breana does in Scene 3, getting pied and "losing her balance" after some hits, to the point of having her feet fly up or falling off the stool. As long as the coverage is still good, I think those kinds of hits are more "visceral" than a model simply standing there and getting pied.)

I like pratfalls. They're basically stunts, though .... Aren't you worried you'll break a model?

I've shot some recent stuff with Brin (which will be released soon, or much later, depending on how sales of this one go).... And I've even said, "Are you sure you're not gonna get hurt?" And she just goes, "I'll be fine." ...And damn if she's not.

The biggest hurdle with pratfalls is to find a model who can sell them. With Brin the falls actually LOOK like falls, so you can suspend disbelief much quicker.

Just don't end up making the wam version of WEEKEND AT BERNIE'S.

I will admit me and bf lean more towards the clothed and scripted side of wam...hell even in our other fetish clips about 90% of the stuff is me still clothed.

Funny you should ask about a market for pratfall videos. I had a pratfall custom done a few years ago and it was AWESOME.

I, of course, am far too much of a gentleman to ask the lovely blonde model I booked to risk life and limb wiping out in high heels, so an agreeable compromise was reached:

The model would sit on the floor, fling her arms and legs in random directions, and look shocked, creating the illusion of a spectacular wipeout.

(First, of course, she had to do a little show prep with a banana.)
