I've had this photo in my wam collection for years, possibly back to the 1990s. I know from previous discussion of it it was a Splosh (or related) scene featuring Sammie Jane and Gill, but I'd like to know more detail of what happened in the scene, with a mind to possibly shooting a modern tribute.

This is the image:


As I read it, the woman featured is wearing a black business suit (trousers or long skirt?) and a red (silk?) shirt. She's partly sitting at a desk and seems to be holding a pencil, and someone else is pouring cooking oil all over her clothes. She appears to be interestedly watching her own oiling, not resisting, I get the impression she's been asked to write down how she feels as the oil is poured on, and is quite willingly allowing the drenching to proceed. Her shirt front and the nearest side of her jacket including the sleeve appear to be already soaked in oil, and the pourer is now completely drenching the lap of her trousers/skirt with a steady flow. It looks as if there's only a little oil so far on the lapel of the far side of her jacket, presumably that's to be done once her lower half is coated.

Things I'd like to know:
1. Full details of the woman in the black suit's outfit, is it skirt or trousers, if a skirt, how long and does she have tights under it, and what footwear does she have on?
2. Who's hand is that doing the pour, is it the other model?
3. What is the other model wearing (their full outfit, including footwear).
4. What was the plot-line of the scene, what happened, what did they do to each other, what (if any) was the back-story?
5. Are there any other original free sample photos from it in circulation anywhere?

Note I am absolutely NOT looking for a pirate copy of the original scene, what's gone is gone and cannot be un-gone, to coin a phrase. And what we shoot (if anything) may well be different to the original anyway. But I've always liked that image, and love the idea of completely willing oilings where the recipient just lets themselves be totally drenched, and perhaps even reports on just how good it feels, where the oil is going inside their outfit, etc. I'm guessing the other girl in the scene also got oiled?

Anyone got any more details or information? All info appreciated.

I think it's from Splosh no 18. Here's a front and back view of that issue taken from an ebay auction that ended over a year ago. The picture frame on wall, same outfits, Gill's left arm & red shirt seem soaked, desk and famous chair does match your picture. I don't have any Splosh mags, so I can't help you more than that, but it sure does look like it's coming from that issue. Maybe someone owning it can confirm? No idea if there was a video, I didn't bought it before the store closed.

To the mods, there's no nudity on those pictures. They wear bras and nothing's visible through Sammie's panties.

Aha! Never considered that it might have been a magazine shoot rather than a video, but that does make sense, and would explain why I don't have the video, given I bought many of Splosh's fully clothed videos when it was announced they were going.

If it was a magazine shoot for Splosh! No18, would definitely like to know more. Ideally, I'd also like to see a clean and dry "before" shot of what they both looked like and were wearing before the fun began. Guessing the other girl had blue skirt, blue shirt, and at least by the time that shot was taken, no jacket, unless it's been taken off her. But I know Splosh shoots were always very light on actual number of photos included, though that did mean the ones they did print were nice and large. Seems like something from another world now, looking back.

I have a number of images from this set, saved from when Splosh had a store open on Vidown. I'm confident it is from a video called Messy Business.
1. from the single image of the black skirt, it is at least down to the calf, maybe longer, hard to tell.
2. the hand in the blue top is Sammie Jane.
3. SJ is wearing a long sleeve, metallic blue blouse and knee a black knee-length skirt. Later in the scene she disrobes to show a set of white lacy bra and knickers. Footwear not seen.
4. From what I can tell from the images: both start fully clothed, G pours a jug of water over SJ's chest followed by oil and yellow, green and blue paint. The paint also covers G's face and hair. G pies SJ's face with whipped cream pie with a custard filling, sponge base and paper plate. Custard, rice pudding and chocolate sauce is then poured on SJ's face. G pours custard down the back of SJ, on top of the clothes. SJ's skirt is lifted up to reveal white lacy panties which short cut spaghetti with tomato sauce (like the ones from cans) is poured down the rear. G removes her jacket and unbuttons her red blouse to show a black bra. SJ squirts black paint on G's face and chest. The paint is rubbed in. SJ's chest is brown with chocolate sauce, some black grease is added and also to SJ's face. Both blouses and skirts come off. Green paint is poured down the front of SJ's white knickers. A small sponge cake with cream and cherry topping, and a nut coating on a paper plate is at on by SJ. I think the knickers were taken off but hard to tell. I think both end up at least topless.
5. I'm not sure the status of the images I have, they were saved whilst available on the internet.

I believe I have this set and that magazine. When I get back home I will have to look for it

Thanks for the description, though that reads as if all the action happens to SJ and none to G, or should the first line have them swapped round? Regardless, sounds like the bit I actually want to replicate is just the outfits, and the oil pouring, and have them both oil each other while making notes, or talking to camera, about how it feels.

Here are three images I have of the initial retaliation to the water/oil/paints. As you can see Sammy Jane gets a custard cream pie in the face followed by tins of rice pudding over her head, then chocolate and strawberry sauce poured over her. The next scene has SJ bending forward over the seat as Gillian pours a litre or 2 of custard over her satin-clad back. Sorry, that's all I have.

P.S. DON'T forget the stockings and high heels. And an added bonus would be the model playing Sammy Jamne's role wearing a leather skirt instead!

That makes sense - so inially SJ soaks, oils, and paints G, who calmly sits and allows it to happen, then SJ sits down on the opposite side of the desk and equally calmly accepts G's retaliation. Am guessing an interview-type scenario?


Thank you, the third image in particular is very good for outfit detail. We can see that Gillian's skirt is indeed calf length, and that she has tights under it and either low heels or office pumps on her feet, while SJ has eithe bare legs or skin-tone tights under her knee-length skirt, and though we can't see her feet, we can assume similar footwear knowing Splosh's tastes.


While we are planning to do some stockings/suspenders scenes at some point, it wouldn't be in this one, they'd not be visible, so not much point. And high heels and oil would probably not be a safe combination, I don't fancy trying to explain to an ambulance crew just why we had to drag them into the outer wilds of North Yorkshire to then have to extract an slippery oil-drenched casualty with a broken ankle from a dungeon built long before anyone had ever heard of stretchers.

I've a few ideas already for stockings and suspenders scenes, but they'll involve shorter skirts and dresses so the girls can easily show them off as they move around, bend over, etc. But I'll also need to talk to our people and see who fancies doing them, and what they're comfortable with.

I have a vague idea that I might have that edition somewhere too ... trouble is I have no idea where! It does look familiar, though that could be because it's been posted online before.

It's been interesting to see how it actually went as opposed to the concept I'd built in my mind from the single oiled photo, though thinking about it back then things were way less specialist than they are now, most scenes tried to cover as many bases as possible. It must be a long time since anyone shot a scene featuring water, oil, paint, custard, rice pudding, and spaghetti, all at once.

Definitely want to replicate the outfits and do some kind of tribute scene or scenes, my original plan was all-oil, might widen it a bit.

Most of my shoots and collaborations in the last 10 years have featured all of these substances and much more all at once. It's dare say it's my oeuvre.

Multi substance scenes are niche though (clearly!) but have a following and it's very much a particular group of people, funnily enough, generally blokes around 50 who remember Splosh!

There are a couple of Splosh! scenes I have been intending to remake as faithfully as possible with latter-day models. It's getting the time, the money and the right people together at the same time in the same place!
