I see in the news today that Gugu Liberato the host of the Domingo Legal variety show has passed away. He provided us with lots of wam moments on his shows since the 1980's.

He was apparently at his Florida home in Orlando when he fell off the roof of his house and hit his head.

Sheesh....that is also what killed UK comedian and puppeteer Rod Hull -- and he did slapstick scenes with his puppet Emu ... he went on his roof to adjust his tv aerial....and slipped and fell off.

I stopped climbing around on my roof once I passed the age of 55...because whether you are adjusting your antenna or cleaning the leaves from your gutters...you don't have the dexterity you once had when you were younger. I am the same age Gugu was and these days I call a handyman if something needs fixing on my roof.

Such a tragic loss. I'm familiar with some of his shows from Satellite TV here in the UK.

The loss of any entertainer is a shock but at such a young age is even more tragic.

He will leave his fans with many, many fun memories through his TV shows.

He did a great contribution to TV.
PoR started to have pies and artists in the show in 90's decade, when he hosted it. Before him, PoR had no pies and no artists.
And were great pies(outfits were horrible, but for us which had no internet, this was gold). Not the bullshit of today's times (for men, total destruction, for women, pies only in the mouth or no pies, or, if they throw a good pie in the woman, the camera don't show it).
We'll miss him.

This is my favorite messy scene from a 1984 show he did. He had a 35 year track record for messy games on his shows. I wish I could find a better copy of this scene.

Not to make light of a sad situation, but seriously, Florida seems to be the WAM capital of the world. Nickelodeon Studios in Orlando, PieFightGirls in Deltona, Lenny's productions in Miami - it seems appropriate for a WAM legend to retire there.

mudmadphil resides there too i believe. any loss is tragic. that is so sad. im constantly climbing on EVERYTHING and i remember putting up some decor on the tops of my cabinets the other day looking down thinking "wow this is really dumb....if i fall, im toast....like for real. done."

anyway, cool clip. i didnt discover wam until 2011 (used in a sexual way) but these types of pie ffghts and messes are always fun. such a sad loss
