So this may come off as funny for some but I've thinking about making some purchases. I notice that EPOCH is the ones who will be doing the transaction and while I never had any personal negative experience with them (cause I never used them) I have heard a lot of bad experience with them online such as them re-charging stuff or buying things without permission. On this forum I never really seen any negative feedback so I was curious what the experience with having them is.
Additionally I notice that in the checkout it says on the bottom that "You agree that Epoch will store your payment information so that you may make future purchases without re-entering the full payment information." Just a bit curious what's up with that.
Epoch is a 3rd party billing company. Unless their system starts glitching, THEY can't charge anything to anyone without either an initiation from a merchant or a recurring billing that YOU agreed to when you signed up.
There are shady companies everywhere, but neither Epoch nor the UMD fall into that category. As with anything anywhere, it's incumbent upon the card holder to read and understand every document, contract, or agreement that they sign physically or digitally, especially when it comes to giving someone your credit card info and allowing them to save it.
Because even major institutions get hacked now and then, it's best to ONLY use a credit card or prepaid/gift card online, and never a debit card directly connected to your bank account. If the worst happens, you have a lot more protection that way.
To reiterate: your experiences with Epoch may vary site to site that uses Epoch. The fine print recharges etc. those are the terms of the site you are joining/purchasing from. They set the rules, Epoch just does the transaction.
Not that any billing site is flawless and doesn't make mistakes though.
With regards to UMD, you have a can directly PM the owner of the site with any issue you may have. If you feels those issues aren't being handled, you can make a public forum post as well. MM handles everything himself. So, sometimes it may seem awhile, but he gets to everyone as quickly as he can. The man will take care of you.

Yea I'm not super worried about the issues with regards to receiving a bought video, the people here from seeing previous posts are very effective with their work and handling that stuff. It's just the chances of getting further unauthorized charges, or random charges for things that I haven't bought but so far that doesn't seem to be the case.

This is a new feature that was not always there, and even I have a few questions. I had the option of adding that a while back and I declined it at the time. I've emailed Epoch and I'll get back to the thread later with more info.
