What do you consider to be pros and cons for both pie tins and paper plates when you're making pies, pieing someone else, or getting pied yourself?
As of this original post, I've only ever gotten messy with pies made in pie tins, which I like because they're easily reusable and recyclable. Of the two, they also seem to be the easiest to use with pie crusts if one chooses to use pie crusts.
But, I'm curious what you all think and what you've found in your experiences with both items.
I prefer pie tins. Inexpensive and reusable, plus much sturdier than paper plates if you want to pile on the gunge. And as you note, if you want to use crust in your pies, pie tins are the must-haves.
Tina but the spiral edge can cut in certain designs wifie got a small scrape on her lip. Also I thew them packed and as hard as I could and she said it was so heavy her face went numb I may have given her small concussions
The only gripe I have with pie tins is that if you make shaving cream pies and don't want to use a crust or base, a lot of the messy stays in the tin. Paper plates are great for when you want to be piled high with mess and have a pie that is pushed into the face and just stays there with all the mess around it. Plus when you go to peel it away, all the shaving cream remains on the face lol.
Pie tins is the only correct answer, It is very iconic and when I see one I immediately imagine me receiving a pie in the face. Also as a hat they are very fancy
