Shoot something with Jayce again. I had a lot of fun with my first stint as a cameraman, and her and Ariel both seem to think I did good.

Working with someone else would be fun too. Even if it's just set up and take down, being part of a production feels satisfying.

I want to release a video every day.

At the risk of injecting some seriousness into this, I was drifting, drifting pleasantly, but still drifting until I attended a lecture on goals.

The central thesis was that setting a goal, and regularly monitoring progress towards it, made it much more likely that the goal would be met. The best goals are SMART:

Specific
Measurable--there should be a way to determine when the goal has been met
Achievable
Real--realistic and meaningful to you
Time limited--you should have a deadline

Ahhhh but goals are deceptive young WAMwalker......

Our goals for this year are fairly modest, as we expect the pandemic to rage on for a good while yet, and so we aren't going to ask anyone to travel unnecessarily. But having said that the current aims are:

Shoot some solo dungeon scenes with the people who live on the estete, one at a time, at least a week apart.

If small scale soicial mixing is safe again by the summer, and travel outwith the district is allowed, shoot some two-person outdoor mud scenes, again with our local people, down at Marsh House.

Again if travel and small scale mixing is allowed, bring in a couple of people who live less than a hundred miles away, via driving to pick them up and drop off afterwards, so no public transport useage is required.

If the vaccination programme does finally actually kill the pandemic, then bring back our further-flung people as well and resume full production.

Realistically we are assuming it will be 2022 before we get completely back up to speed, fortunately our stockpile means the only things we have to shoot this year are mud scenes, and even then just to ensure we don't get too close to the bone on releases. I've not checked in detail but I know we currently have at least 18 months worth of mud (and three years of messy) in the can for future release.

We do have various plans and ideas we'd like to try, but wary of commiting any of them to text until we've actually shot them, as a good friend of mine likes to say, "life is what happens when you're busy making other plans", so I try and avoid leaving hostages to fortune. But rest assured we are busily planning the messy future, with lots still to come.

I'd like to hope that will include finally using some of the mess I've saved and intended for myself and filming that, but small health niggles and other circumstances keep stopping me so those hopes aren't exactly sky high.. still a hope though.

Once it's safe enough to do so (by my own definition of this which is the vaccination program being finished) I will have models over again. I'd like to think that will be this year, but who knows

Aside from making it to 2022.....umm

Form a partnership with Elon Musk and invent a Tardis and take me back to a pre-2000 time before Youtube existed and where I could make videos again with my departed friends like Lenny, Rob Blaine, Roger Carpenter and Bill Shipton. As most producers know, once you have passed 1000 scenes you have basically done every possible thing you can do with wam substances in every possible location.

There is nothing else left to do on your "wam bucket list".....except possibly to do one thing that no wam producer has ever done, i.e. to be able to work with an A list celebrity on some kind of wam project. Lenny and I came close (chatting with Cassandra Peterson,Sybil Danning, Heather Thomas and Linda Blair for weeks who were initially interested in working for us) but we did not land the big fish and they eventually pulled out for various reasons.

Hiring a top level celebrity is about the only wam goal left to do ....
