I'm gonna start doing a poetry night, where I recite both original poetry/prose and some by my favorite authors- while getting gunged!! It'll be avaliable for free on the MeadowsweetMess store. What's yalls favorite poem?!
There was a young lady called Jade, And of gunge she was never afraid, Fans love it to bits, When it goes down her tits, With her face and her hair getting sprayed.
tsarmina said: I like that stuff by Tsarmina (and pennames), personally.
Stylistically, it ranges from epic to abstract to impressionistic to surrealist to other things...
But I suppose it would all be considered modern...
Poe, that Billy Shaxbeard guy... they're both pretty good though. I also like Mervyn Peake's stuff.
Whilst mudding out in the Midwest, Poor Mina got wet down her vest, Before she'd gone far, There was mud in her bra, But the pictures she took are the best!

There once was a limerick king With praises of messes to sing Cultivated a quip Of mud that would drip And water to gush like a spring !

This is incredibly beautiful " Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light." Dylan Thomas
What a fantastic idea! I confess I haven't read verse in a long while. I'm not sure when or why I stopped. I especially liked William Butler Yeats. And I love the Dylan Thomas quote that curiouspaints mentioned.
Voted for Shakespeare as it's incredibly smutty if you understand the sixteenth-century double entendres!
Shall I compare thee to a summer pudding? Thou art more sticky and more glutenous Rough hands may stir the darling vat of gunk But thou wilt pour it o'er thy head

Hahahahah oh my goodness.. I gotta say acting in the Tempest would've been way more fun if they dumped water on everyone onstage.
