So I recently worked with a professional chef to come up with a good pie recipe. It basically came down to a proportion of 2 cups of powdered sugar to 1 tablespoon of meringue powder. Then you slowly add warm water (literally 1 tablespoon at a time) until you get the desired consistency. You can add a touch of vanilla flavoring if that's your thing also. You mix as big a batch of it as you want, using that ratio of sugar to meringue powder. I used an electric mixer, cos whisking that would be a pain, but it's possible. It comes out very sweet and very sticky. Enjoy!

I feel like this is a paradigm shift. No more Gillette for me!

How many pies can 1 recipe make?
If you take a look at my recipe above, I can tell you that 6 cups of powdered sugar and 3 tablespoons of meringue powder (plus 5 or 6 tablespoons of warm water) easily filled a 10 inch deep dish pie crust. You'll probably have to experiment a little, depending on the size of the pies you want to use.
Pie plate with crust. Full the pie with batter cake (sticky mix) and shaving cream on top or Coolwhip (important coolwhip have to be at ambiant air) This pie recipe stick everywhere you smash it

I'm trying it right now but all I can get is this really thick kind of slurry. Any idea what's going wrong here? I'm using an electric hand mixer because there's no way I could whisk this stuff manually. So far it's definitely not fluffing up.

The same thing happened to me the first time. I wasn't using a very good mixer. Start off with about 5 tablespoons of water, and you'll need to run the mixer for 6-7 minutes.

(singing) Memmmmmmmmmmmmmmories....
I was able to do this today for about $1.50 per, but that's DIY with instant pudding mix, store brand cool whip, and making my own crust. Wish I could buy something nice and ready to go for that little!
