Looking to.play with the wife with half a tin of surplus emulsion paint yes she has agreed to this as she has previously enjoyed poster paint is there anything you can add to emulsion to stop it drying without changing its consistency
It shouldn't dry or set all that quickly if you keep it moving and there's plenty of it. A thin coating of vinyl and acrylic based paint can start to polymerise on any surface if it's warm enough. But it won't usually cure that quickly.
I would prefer to use a non-setting emulsion intended for new plaster ("Contract"/"Supermatt") on people.
But wall paint or artist's acrylics are actually fine in my experience.
Just keep the contact as brief as possible so as to either shoot a movie/photos or otherwise have fun
Avoid 'multi-surface' paint intended for wood and metal as, though it might be water based, it skins over very quickly and you will not get it off.
The only think I know of to slow setting down is extender medium (retarder) for artist's acrylics, but, to be honest, it's expensive so I really wouldn't worry too much if it's water based.
If you plan on long exposure (more than an half an hour) full coverage/submersion in ONLY emulsion paint and no other substance then you really need to do some trials of your own with small amounts until you're confident and comfortable with the sensation and the smell.
