I have seen the whole Osmond family have a pie fight on some show. Everyone is wearing sweat pants and sweat tops. Anyone know the show/clip I'm talking about?
Thanks to the tip on which show they were on. I googled the show and was only able to find short clips from it. Vimeo had 16 episodes for sale and it said the Osmonds guest stared on one of them. It did not say which they were on, so I had to buy all 16 episodes. For anyone wanting to buy the episode for themselves it's episode 4.
Kinda hate to tell you this but WAMTEC has had this same clip for decades.... and would probably have sold it to you on a clip with an hour of other WAM stuff for $10.
LOL.... I did a brief Google search and it came back with a UMD thread from 2015 about Marie Osmond getting pied. There were YouTube links to several different clips, including this one. (All deleted now tho.)
It's an odd thread and sadly, weirdly nostalgic considering it was just 5 years ago. There's a TON of discussion about mainstream WAM, in a way that never happens anymore. Regis makes lots of comments. (RIP Regis.) NormanMaybeld chimes in. (Where did he go??) I argue that Chega Mais is super frustrating because it has the potential to be amazing.... with Hall of Fame clips on basically every show... and it tends to waste a lot of that potential. And one day, when it's gone, we'll wish it was still around. (So yeah, I was Nostradamus there.)
Anyway, lots of talk about possible Marie Osmond pieings that have never surfaced, and were probably never caught on camera. If you come across any of those, please post them here!!
I am aware there used to be clips of it out there and that they were removed. I've bought a lot from wamtec and the quality is often lacking, also most of the time the male pies are edited out. And on a personal level, I have not had the best experiences with wamtec. I emailed him after spending several hundred on clips to ask about a scene. The scene cut off halfway through a pie fight, I asked him what the clip was from. He told me that since I was more interested in men being pied to buy elsewhere, since his clips are more focused on women and to him the scene is over when the last girl is hit. I found him incredibly rude in most of my interactions.
I will also add, I knew what I was getting when I bought from Wamtec, and had not said a word to him about some of the clips being a disappointment. But who edits out an entire pie fight to only show one girl get hit with one pie and everyone else is covered.
Not sure if it's been said yet but you're pretty fuckin good at tracking down and posting some decent and not seen before (I'm too young to have tape traded in the 1840's or whenever get over it boomers) pie fights. As a bi guy, it's well appreciated you posting these full scenes so cheers anyhow.
I'm impressed you got the Madam's Place pieing in good quality... and Diff'rent Strokes in HD??? When did that happen?!? (Probably a situation similar to Charmed being redone in HD, hence the Alyssa Milano caking in better quality.)
The Julie Andrews clip I'd never seen before. Any background? Does it cut off super quick that way in the original? Shame she wasn't on the receiving end of that (pretty epic) pie hit.... I confess, I have NO idea what gender the cop is between the hat and the fake mustache.
I search for scenes daily. With all these channels having "+" . They need filler content, so they upload old shows. Tubi is a good app for lots of old comedy shows and most are had quality or at least really impressive for something filmed in the 50's.
The Julie Andrews clip is from a British special she did called "My favorite things". I might have access to ITV Archives website. It has a lot of older and some current tv shows in Britain. The special is there in the archives. The clip is from the specials opening, where I cut it off is the end of the pie scene. It then goes into her dancing.
meh...shaving cream. The most exciting part of the scene is when they 'turn' on the audience and we see two different (and fairly attractive) women pied' -- one by Donny and one by the show host (interesting that they both chose to 'pie' women).
