Hello Wetlook forum,

I love old black and white movies and found a wetlook scene in this one.

It's called On Our Merry Way and in it, near the end, the actress Dorothy Lamour, while singing about spoofing how movies are made is at first rained and then sprayed on.

I thought it was a cute scene.

I don't know if this was posted here already (if it was, my apologies, I'm not over here that often).

FYI my favorite Dorothy Lamour wetlook scene is this one from 1938. This is good for wet sweater fans and heels and nylons fans ....

Thanks....that was an awesome clip. I always thought Dorothy Lamour was gorgeous. Heck, I also liked Myrna Loy and Valerie Hobson (she was the actress who played Dr. Frankenstein's young wife in "Bride of Frankenstein").

I found another wetlook scene....this time with Esther Williams (not in a pool, but having buckets of water thrown out her in a stage show hosted by Milton Berle).

Yeah...I know that 1956 Milton Berle Show version well.

Myrna Loy and Valerie Hobson were both wetlook virgins (no known wetlook scenes in their lifetime) though Myrna Loy was a lot racier in the 1920's and early 30's because she did nudity and adult films before she became a prude on The Thin Man movie series.

So, Esther redid that number on the Milton Berle stage show (I think it was for the USO)? So cool (I missed it since I don't watch as many of the old musicals as I should).

I love old B&W movie scenes.
When I was young, things like this on TV were really some of the few wetlook scenes you ever saw.
And I was fascinated.
