I remember in 95 or 96 he commented that you'd just been beaten to mpv.com by someone called "Multi Purpose Ventures". He talked about you a fair bit in discussions of mud. I used to have lots of issues of Messy News, seems like another world now!

You have very good recall. 'Multipurpose Ventures' was one. Then there was 'Medical Present Value'. I stopped trying after that. But then, domains are much less important nowadays.
Did you run into Rob in a discussion environment, or meet up with him?

Only ever on-line I'm afraid, met him on Compuserve in 1995. That lightbulb moment of realising I wasn't the only person on the planet who though that fully clothed women getting messy were sexy, it was like an entire lighthouse lamp coming on. We used to chat a lot in email, he really was an incredibly nice guy. I'd always fancied the idea of hiring people to shoot clothed messy video, even when I thought I'd be the sole audience, and he encouraged me with it once I knew there'd be a market. Shame he didn't live to see what came of that, I think he'd have liked at least some of what I've shot since, and I'm sure he'd have loved to know that almost without exception, every single girl I've introduced to fully clothed mud has absolutely loved it.
