Hi everyone! My wife and I are having a messy session this weekend and we'll be using vegetable oil and slime. Does anyone have any foolproof cleanup tips?
We're using tarps draped over a blowup pool. With the idea to just roll the mess up and dispose of in our local dump. We don't have an outside drain and I'm wary of pouring oil down my inside drains due to clogging them.
My go-to method for disposal is to half-fill a bucket with the slops, then top it up with water. Quickly swishing my hand through the mix breaks it down into free flowing suspended lumps, which I pour down the toilet.
So far I've never blocked a pipe- played with bentonite clay, various food/cake messes, oil (once), and buckets and buckets and buckets of thick/very thick gunge. (separate occasions)
Putting liquids in the bin is usually a bad idea- since there might be other objects in the general rubbish that could pierce your wrappings, or the weight of stuff on top squishes it out. The seams on most bin bags are not sealed watertight either, and will seep liquids. Odd bits of slime stuck in the tarps is fine- quantities of flowing slime is likely to make a big and unpleasant mess.
For cleaning yourselves- pack extra conditioner as messy play can give your hair a hard time.
