Well, there IS one thing one can say: thanks to the campy 1960s Batman & Robin series, we wammers got one decent pie scene (pied a secretary) by the Riddler.

Holy historical error, Batman! Thanks for the correction, Vonce! Always seemed to me, even back in the late 1960s, that "The Joker" and "The Riddler" were somewhat identical characters. Thanks to the actors (Frank Gorshon as The Riddler and Cesar Romero as The Joker, unless you prefer Jack Nicholson's Joker or Heath Ledger's Joker and Jim Carrey's Riddler) they brought them to life with clearly unique personalities.
