Just found a handful of episodes from Sat Roadshow on youtube and apparently the user has many NHP videos which they will be uploading (according to some comments i've read). Can't wait for these!

I remember it well, dear fellow! At least on the Saturday Roadshow the 'In Other Words' game was pretty much always on at the same time (18-20 mins in or so). Series 1 were nearly all female - series 2, many fewer and they kept doing that annoying 'swapping with the male celebrity' thing (Richard Branson, Steve Cram etc. :mad The gunge was much more flowing and plentiful in series 2 and they'd automated it. Unfortunately, the 'greed factor' (gunge roulette) introduced an element of 'fairness' to proceedings (Edmonds would usually pull the cord even if they won in series 1) and fewer people were gunged at all.
I recorded almost all of these and then, sometime in 1990, I wiped them all in shame - fearing a girlfriend might find them (for, of course, I was the world's only messy-women obsessive!)
NHP was very unpredictable and offered weeks of vain hope and bitter disappointment prior to an often scant reward. Jim Davidson's Generation game (the programme before) offered much more frequent and better results then I could go out for the evening!

Does anyone know the user or know of any full NHP episodes or unseen NHP clips?
The series 1 Episode 1 NSRoadshow would be the holy grail (Channel Tunnel edition) circa September 1988 - Woman gunged with lumpy black 'sludge' (not a massive amount, though, by later standards) - the celeb (Wendy Richard) looked on in absolute hand-over-mouth horror as the lady had actually won the game and Edmonds 'fell' onto the pull-cord. There was a very grainy clip floating around about a decade ago which promptly disappeared.
This show is the absolute holy grail for me. I distinctly remember Toyah Wilcox being gunged. There's a clip of her getting it in the Panel Beaters game in a later series, but I mean in an earlier show! That's never surfaced. There were 48 shows in total so I hope there are a few in there that are genuinely new to us...
To me the House Party is the one that started it all and to this day I don't feel it has been equaled on TV! (there is the off air exception of GTG...but then they got THE tank so...)
The very first clip I ever saw that opened the can of WAM I have still never found, the clip with Jilly Goolden is the most plausible clip to have been the first one, but I still feel it is not the one...maybe there are still a few more out there as the show ran for a long time. It was certainly the era with the original tank and foam...looking forward to seeing what else appears on YouTube!
