My friend and I just learned that we are going to become mehron statues for an evening - silver and gold. (It's a long story.) Since learning that, I have been exploring this site to learn more about it. I have lots of questions and appreciate anyone's thoughts.
What is the best oil to use?
What is the best oil-to-mehron powder ratio? We expect to remain in the paint for around 2 - 2.5 hours.
I'm 5'- 3". My friend is 5'-1" and we are average size. How much powder will we need?
What is the best way to apply the paint?
How quickly does the paint dry? How well does the paint stick to the one's body? If we sit down, will the paint come off on the chair?
What is the best way to get the paint out of hair?
I have seen pictures on the site of people with their teeth painted? Is this safe? How do you remove paint from teeth?
I'm really scared but also excited. How is it going to feel to be seen as a mehron?
Does anyone have any other tips or things I should know about?
I've answered a few questions by DM but so that others can view.
Baby oil is widely available and arguably shinier but is perfumed and harder to wash off, fractionated coconut oil is expensive but odorless.
The ratio of powder to oil is a tough one, but for silver mehron, maybe 1 bottle (14gm) to 100ml of oil or less. For gold mehron, you may require more powder for the same amount of oil.
2-2.5 hours is a comfortable amount of time to stay painted.
Apply the paint however you like, hands, brush or roller.
Try not to get the paint in your eyes, it's hard to blink out, especially if you're going to be painted for 2-3 hours.
I would suggest two bottles of each colour for the both of you although you might be able to get away with one bottle depending on the length of your hair.
The paint doesn't dry and transfers to everything it comes in contact with, including the chair you sit on, and you'll need retouching again. How well the paint sticks to your body depends on the amount of powder and whether you come in contact with anything.
The best way to get paint out of hair is with dish soap and shampoo. Lather your body and hair with dish soap when dry, then shower it off.
The paint is made with oil, so it emulsifies with saliva, so it does not stick to your teeth. I wouldn't recommend deliberately applying it inside your mouth incase it ingestion which might be tolerable but it's best to be safe.
As for tips, I'll post those later.
I hope you have fun and would love to hear your story.

Thank you for your replies
That's amazing how did it go for both of you?
Paint with play and surrender

Hi, great it will be a fun experience. It was long ago I first tried the Mehron powder in gold and silver on separate occasions. I used olive oil then. It stings the eyes. Years later I wanted to do it again but I did not want to pay the cost for those little bottles.
So I did research to find out what it is and another possible source as a well known producer here has used larger quantities and usually a thicker mix. So Graftobian and Mehron powders are the same stuff. The ingredients are aluminum powder for silver , bronze for gold and copper. Also oleic acid I believe it was called as well. This is simply a fatty liped and it's purpose is as a lubricant when making this and prevents oxidation from causing it to patina or change color and also so the particles don't stick together. This pigment powder is made in a tumbling ball mill. The grades that are like tiny flakes are more shiny and finer offers more coverage. In the pigment market there are different grades. Info can be found on the USA supplier link on grades and coverage. This is the same stuff used on other products. Cigarette packs for example can have the gold and silver lines. I found a source in Canada that is Kama Pigments an art supplier. So they have larger quantities of the powders. I found it is exactly the same stuff except without the cosmetic grade premium. See, welding oxygen and medical oxygen are the same thing, just as pure and clean for several reasons one being any contamination like oil could cause an explosion. So the only difference is the way it is handled. Medical gets a premium price. In USA you can source it here. https://easyleafproducts.nnigroup.com/product-category/powders/page/2/
Silver that is aluminum is very light so when you order a pound it's a lot and I enjoy more messy. Gold color is heavier so you don't get as much. Half a pound can still be a lot of fun. Probably for you two oz. Can be fine. Mehron was a finer powder when I tried it so you get more coverage for the smaller amount of powder. Since 2016 my experiences have been with the Kama Pigments products and I will reference those to answer your other questions.
I experimented with a few oils to find what's comfortable in my eyes and it was coconut oil. I didn't mind the coconut smell. Mineral oil can work too and that is the same as baby oil except no perfume. I never tried it but probably would be great and im curious and would try it next time. I did mix 1 to 1 or 1 to 2 oil. Just wet the powder and mix, add slowly and stir to adjust the mix the way you like. The caution and biggest risk I see is to prevent harm do not breathe that dust!!! Those particles going down into your lungs is a bad thing. Mix under the kitchen fume hood. Spread some newspapers on the stove. Or go outside with your back to the wind. I have had a whiff of it mixing, hardly much but you feel it. It feels and taste metal like and irritates the lungs. Once it is in the oil it is quite innert. I had put it in my eyes lots and it blinks out. No harm to my vision. The particles are so small it won't scratch you lens. It comes out it buggers after, LMAO but it's OK. The finer grade powders may stick on the eye more and vision may be slightly clouded , very mild. I had that a couple of times with lots of eye play but a day later back to normal. It just sheds off . Staring at a welding ark will sunburn the retna, don't do that. Being funny and saying don't worry have fun. It's something I haven't done in a while with the work around it and other priorities. I had got some in my mouth a bit and was careful as I could to not swallow it. If you don't mind spitting after. I had water to rinse my mouth out after I was done playing with that. I licked a bar of soap once to help get it all out became I got a lot in. So let's look at risk now. Aluminum has its concerns. For example aluminum oxide is used on abrasives so breathing that grinding dust is harmful. Aluminum mixed in oil on your skin is inert. It doesn't seem to absorb. You don't want to swallow much because in our digestion system it can mobilize it into the body. I have done silver aluminum a few times, I'm ok. I don't know if that's one we should frequent though. I probably will do it again though. Gold is bronze powder or brass. This is an alloy of copper and zinc. These two metals are essential nutrients for our bodies although this form is not organic and bio-avalible. So I just feel safe with this or copper powder with certainty. You touch brass on door handles. When washing you may see some green that is simply the copper oxidizing like on pennies and copper pipes, roofs. It is not harmful and washes off. I have only used this in the bathroom. I would bring what I need, water, Smokes, phone, music so I don't have to go out. Painters plastic drop sheet on the face of the vanity, across the floor and up the side of the tub. It washes off the counter , sink and tile with dish detergent. Like the other guy said this will transfer to fabrics carpets and may stain plastics. It will never come out of fabrics. You will have to plan a way to get to the bathroom after you finish in your play area. Bags on feet? Newspapers trail sticks to the feet, not so reliable. Some dollar store plastic drop sheets and painters tape work great. Have some extra lights with lamps and such. I prefer incandescent bulbs for a good picture. I had a warm led in once and it gave a funny color halo effect on the pictures. Enough light is important to make it shine and try to set them up so you will be comfortable in the area without getting blinded. Have a mirror. After you have completely set up. Take a break and eat something. I recommend protein and saturated fat to feel satisfied and sustain energy and strength longer. Eat until comfortable. All of our hormones are made from cholesterol so this will enhance sex drive. I gotbon the carnivore diet too and I feel great. Search, the Lion Diet. Interesting things you will discover. The reason you want to eat is you will play a couple of hours. Then now there is cleanup time and now is where the endurance comes in. I had used Olay bar soap to wash the paint off. It feels better for my skin than dish detergents. What I did was grate a few bars of soap. In a container add hot water and use a hand blender. I would wash in the tub with that keeping it concentrated. Other producers here use a detergent. Find one gentle on hands. Woman having long hair probably takes more work to wash than me so you'll probably want to use detergent. Sounds good the recommendations of washing from noelelliv After I was clean, next the bathroom. I would pull up the plastic and have a garbage bag ready. Have paper towels. Wash cloth, bucket and dish gloves. Using a bucket of warm water with detergent there will be the tub to clean and spots around. It's amazing how it gets around. Probably an hour on cleaning then putting the setup away. Always the next day find spots I missed but the tub and tile is not permanently marked. The shower curtain will definitely have memories it won't forget. If I did this in a room I would want plastic around a lot. What is the best way to apply paint. Pouring a lot on and rub it around is my answer, lol lots! Hands , hands work great. Having a soft bristle paint brush can be a fun prop and sensual play. How does it feel? My first experience with the Kama product in 2016 I had tested in my eyes earlier in the week and was so excited. When I did it felt great. A fantasy come true. I felt sexy it brings the shape and beauty of the body in a different way. It feels smooth a slick. A unique feeling. You do feel warm because the oil is stopping water from evaporating off your skin. You will see water drops form on you eventually and it's OK. Just the natural release of moisture. The beads of water kinda kill that metal shine. I had used some paper towel to blot some water off. Have the room a cool temperature to prevent sweating because you will feel warm once covered. Yes anything you touch consider it may be stained. Hard smooth surfaces can wash off. The particles will stick into rough things. It can wash off painted walls that are that washable type of finish like in a kitch or bathroom and maybe a wood chair if coated in polyurethane and the finish is good. Test anything your uncertain. Plastic drop sheets. Have straws for drinking water. I have done this a few times but this is your first time, nothing to be scared of. You will have fun and feel sexy. Be mindful that you may slip because it's oil. Be conscious of balance and footing if you are on a slippery surface. In the tub I slipped a little, caught myself and thought, wow what of I needed an ambulance now. Embarrassing, or even just trying to wash up with an injury. May peace be with you.
