As most/all of you know it's only permissible to promote a scene once on UMD. However I have the rights to some vintage classics from several years back, from several producers which, although they have been promoted once, back in the day, deserve to still see the light of day and be available to the wam world (imho).
The solution...a new store called 'Previously On UMD' where the scenes *won't* be featured in 'What's New?' and *won't* receive a daily promotion (Messmaster has helped me set up the store to ensure the UMD rule can't be broken).
So the only way to make sure you don't miss something good is to hit that follow button at the bottom of the page(or just visit the store every day but..who has the time ). .
There's some fantastic scenes there tho, so I really really recommend just hitting that follow button on the store, just so you can be notified when a new scene is uploaded.
Some of my personal favourites will be being uploaded over the coming weeks, and even though it's not possible to give them the usual promos, I felt it would be a real shame if they were lost to the wam world, so I do hope you'll follow the store and support this venture.
Oh and there's a very cheap subscription offer too, for those who prefer to stream. You can lock in that price and it won't change as more and more scenes are added.
After this one time promo, I won't be able to promo the store again...so I really hope you'll check it out and enjoy it, and that my investment in these classic scenes won't come to be known as Slymsford's Folly
I am really pleased that you like them. These pics are just from the scenes released so far so hopefully you'll find loads more to enjoy over the coming weeks and months (I've attached a couple of pics from the scene that releases on Thursday to say thanks).
And to one and all, don't forget to give us a follow as this is the one and only promo that I am allowed to make under UMD rules

I loved them!!! I really want to go play in colored slime, the way the slow pour over the asses-chef's kiss!!!
Not for nothing, but I've been very confused by this whole "Can only promote once" business. What is the rule in question and why has it been a problem exactly?
Thanks Bratty and Le Rex. I am so pleased you are happy to see these classics available again.

Hi Zan
I would never say it's a problem. It's MM's party and his rules.
The rule is:
>You may create only one forum promotion thread (plug) for any given scene or event. If the original thread has been auto-closed, you may start one additional thread for a scene to announce it being remastered or moved to a new site (note site, not to a new UMD store).
So these scenes were made by content producers who have left UMD. But when they were leaving they offered me the chance to buy the rights to the scenes and all the attendant paperwork etc. As I am a bit of an archivist in real life, I don't like scenes being lost to the wam world. So I bought the rights.. However I knew I couldn't do a new promotion for any of them as, to the best of my knowledge, they were all promoted when they were first released 5 or 6 years ago, they are not remastered and they are not on a new site like Manyvids.
Setting up the store this way (with Messmaster's help and involvement) ensures I comply with the rules and people don't receive a second promo of a scene that already had one 5 or 6 years ago.
But as there are hopefully some great scenes being uploaded there that I hope people will love, I am encouraging everyone to follow the store...as that's the only way they will find out when a scene is released there as it won't be on What's New, and I can't promote it in the forums.
I hope that helps...and I hope you will follow the store
This is a great idea, I totally get the "archivist" approach and also support content still being available legally as a way to reduce piracy.
A few constructive criticisms / suggestions, from someone with a reasonable degree of skill and knowlege in databases and information systems:
Currently none of the "genre" tags you have set up have anything at all showing up. I'd remove the genres until you start adding scenes to them.
Make full use of the "keywords" box, and in particular, have a completely standardised list of keyword tags you use for scenes, and stick to the standard list. Remember a scene can only have one genre tag but can have multiple keywords. Looks like you'e planning to use the genre tag for old store names or scene types, which is fine, but can I suggest that all scenes are keyword tagged with (the appropriate tag(s) from):
Example, you might genre tag something as Quizzes, but the scene is also fully clothed. If you hve a "fullyclothed" tag that **all** clothed scenes regardless of genre are tagged with, then someone who has zero interest in nudity but is interested in clothed scenes can find all clothed scenes from your entire catalogue from one search, without being repelled by unrelated naked ones coming up (and vice versa).
The trick with keyword-based searching is you both want all relevant scenes to come up, but do not want irrelevant ones that may put potential customers off or leave them feeling they have to wade through a tide of irellevant scenes to find the few good ones.
I completely re-did the genre tagging on my stores a few years ago, to make it mostly entirely about the clothing styles, **except* for wetlook scenes, which are all just genre "wetlook". I figured, based on sales patterns, that my messy scenes tend to appeal to fans of particular clothing - so someone will buy three PVC scenes together, or three rainwear ones, or three shiny shorts ones - and over on Imperatrix Domina sales of the nude / topless scenes increased when people could buy three in those styles (both stores having a permanent buy-two-get-one-free offer). You'fe also only allowed 16 genres on the store front page (any extras after that still work but aren't shown).
However wetlook fans will want to primarily weed out anything that isnt wetlook, so all our wetlook scenes are genre-tagged just "wetlook" so that those scenes can all be seen in one list without any messy ones cluttering up the view.
From a self-interest POV, I could well be interested but I'd want to be able to browse the clothed content on the store without having to wade through acres of nudity.
Depending on how many scenes of each type you'll be putting up I'd also split three ways, clothed / skimpy / nude. To someone like me, a bikili might as well be naked, zero interest, not enough coverage. But to a nude fan a bikini might as well be fully clothed, far too much coverage. Having a "skimpyclothed" category for bikinis or other "barely covered" clothing items solves that problem.
Regarding promotion, my understanding has always been that going over the line **occasionally* is OK, it's doing it constantly that is a problem. So I think you probably could sometimes mention this store in passing in other posts - but occasionally being like once or twice a year?
