Hey guys, you've likely noticed a difference in the site's navigation. The tiny text links at the very top are gone, and you can log in or access your profile through a new main "Profile" navigation button instead. The inbox and notification icons are also at the top right of the page when you're logged in.
These types of changes are necessary on the long road to organizing this site to eventually become responsive, plus to look good again in the eyes of search engines. I hope it's not too jarring of a change! The links aren't coming back, but please message me with any suggestions or concerns.
Definitely more mobile friendly. I was thinking about asking for an app for the umd, but then realized there may not be a large enough market for it to be worthwhile. The changes help, for sure. Thanks for the work you put into it!
Is there a way to "sign out" anymore? I don't want to leave here and still be signed in.
Also, if I want to go to my profile, do I have to go to my mail or notifications through the new icons, and then go to my profile page? Maybe I'm not seeing some new things on here.

Log Out is the bottom item on the new "Profile" menu in the drop-down bar, which is fine for people using computers, however as the drop down menus don't work on touchscreen devices (or at least any of the ones I've used) I'm not sure if it's possible to log out from a phone or tablet. Would probably be helpful if a fixed "Log Out" link was provided somewhere on our Profile pages.

The new "Profile" button in the top navigation will take you right to your profile (if you're not logged in yet, the button says "Login").
On that button's pulldown menu there's a Log Out link. A Log Out link is also now in the footer bar of the site. [edit: Now also on the left menu of your profile.]
The Profile menu is meant to replace the tiny nav that used to be at the very top.
I am noticing a slight bug where my inbox messages (or at least my newest one) will not get marked "read". No matter how many times I look at it, I still have the red 1 on my inbox.

I'm aware of that and currently working out some kinks in the message counters. Watch for things getting smoother over time. Hopefully  :dunce:

It (the drop down menu) has worked fine on my iPhone 6. Though my fat fingers have to zoom in to get a proper click.
Can someone explain what UMD Fetish is - I found myself there yesterday for some reason. It's got about two dozen members, but no explanation as to what it is. And now it's gone again!

An actual mobile version of UMD is in the works, but for now, the drop down menu should be at least incrementally better than those tiny text links that were up there.
You can also log out from links at the very bottom of the site and on your profile menu.

It ranks based on how much you interact, not physical distance. I should rename that.

UMD Fetish is a scaled-down sister site that runs parallel to UMD. It's for non-wam fetishes only and gives UMD's famous producers another outlet for sharing some of the other stuff they produce. I haven't officially announced it yet but will soon!

Not on any Android device I've used they aren't, the drop down menus don't work at all (well they drop down but you are also instantly taken to whatever the top link is, you don't get a change to pick one of the dropped options). As yet I've not really encountered any serious issues other than the inability to log out which you've now fixed, but probably a good idea to test new stuff on Android as well as iOS, as others may make much more use of the menu options than I do.

Ta for that, appreciated.

Sorry to bump this thread, and I'm not sure if this is part of the Nav Changes however I felt that it should be made public - what has happened to the subject line for Private Messages? There's no subject line box anymore; I recently sent a PM to Messygirl and the body of the message is the subject line in my Inbox.
