On Tuesday 2019 November 12, while sitting at home in front of my computer working on math, I inadvertently/carelessly let my right leg twist inwards, dislocating my right titanium hip. This was my very first joint dislocation of any kind. Scared the hell out of me. I was trapped physically on one spot. I called 911. The police were going to have to break down my locked front door. Luckily, my walker was by my side and I was able to hop-walk to the front door to let them in.
They put me on a stretcher and ambulanced me down to closest ER and hospital: the hospital where I was born.
Doctors xrayed my right hip and confirmed indeed it was dislocated. They said a "severe" dislocation, "superior", meaning, my femur was way high up in my hip.
So, they knocked me out with an anesthetic I'd never taken before: ketamine. Though, I believe I'd heard of it before as an illegally used drug. Luckily, the doctors were able to pop my hip back in.
But, waking up from the procedure was long and bizarre as hell. Normally, I find anesthesia fun & exciting. The worst I've experienced from it is some nausea. But, never any hallucinations. But, this ketamine made me feel as though I was being pushed through other dimensions & made me feel as though I might never return to my body & all sorts of weird thoughts about existence that can't be verbalized.
As I slowly came out of it, I felt extreme tingling all over my body: lips, back of head, back, all making me talk very slowly, even though I heard the nurses responds to my questions. I felt I was being pushed back into my hospital bed with tremendous force, like astronauts must feel.
I always woke up within an hour with all my other anesthesia experiences. Not so with ketamine: took me 3 hours to fully wake up and it left me with slight persistent dizziness for 24 hours. Felt like this: or maybe like this
Anyway, I have some cool xrays I could upload, but I don't have one yet of the dislocated hip. I figure it's more fun to SHOW you. Nobody's gonna read all my crap.
At-least you are ok that's is the most important thing, very interesting experience and one I doubt you will soon forget. Take note No special "K" for you , Aka hits of ketamine .
Having had a very wayward youth, I have a little experience of Ketamine.
I once accidentally took it in a club, it wasn't what I thought it was. I went to the toilet and spent the entire night in a cubicle deciding wether to open the door or not, honestly, I was in there for hours???
Used to do ketamine nearly weekly in me second year at uni. Never felt a more relaxing and just grand feeling than it. Just completely fucked me, used to love it. Stopped now since my bodies not quite the same as it was when I was 19 but yeah it's a hell of an experience. I once thought the radiator was a set of stairs and thought I'd been in the bathroom for an hour when it had just been 2 mins. No bad comedown and wore off decently quickly so was great to bash to. Ahhhh the joys of that time, hope ya feeling better as well like (ket would certainly do the trick lol)
I used to dabble with a few things, but ketamine never looked appealing to me as a recreational substance. It seemed like most times I'd seen friends too out of it for the experience to be fun, it was usually involved somehow.
