It was a bit of a wait due to scheduling issues (originally these were supposed to be filmed with Lane, then when she retired, Penelope). I'm glad now that they didn't work out, because Justine was definitely worth it.
You can't beat MG for overall value when ordering customs since they cover the cost of materials. I've ordered quite a number of customs from other producers in the past, and this has been my best experience to date. I heartily recommend them if you're thinking of commissioning a custom.

well, i appreciate her fearlessness in the end, as the full-coverage shows; it's one of the more "extreme" marshmallowings i can remember, and all the better for it.

Melted marshmallow is much different than marshmallow fluff. The mini colored ones especially - something about the gelatin and flavouring/colouring makes it super sticky and resist melting in hot water. Perhaps that's what your friend experienced?
